An ISO is an image of a CD. It's one big file that has to be writen to a recordable CD (CDR). There are many Windows based programs that will write ISO images. Software like Adaptec's Easy CD Creator have support for ISO images If you just wanna peak around a .iso file in windows. Try winiso

If your old username is not one of the randomly generated usernames, then we would be able to change the username to a random one without any issue.

Actually, when we do the upgrades for older customers, it is server wide. We'll change the space and bandwidth allotments for the plans and that will change for everyone on that server at once. The 60-90 day period in rolling out the new plans to everyone is more of a safety zone time period than anything else. We will be selecting a server at a time to roll the new plans to, and then will watch the server very closely to insure that the server loads stay within reasonable guidelines. If we see a server with a increasing amount of load, we will then have to move domains from that server to a new server. This is really why it will take us so long to roll out the new plans. Bill

We have taken into this consideration and will be watching this very close. It should not be a problem.

Every once in a great while I ask the users here at tch to post reviews about us at a well respected review site. As our advertising budget is very very low, we rely on our end users to promote our services and help us sell TCH. Customers are allowed to review our services once every 6 months at findmyhosting and I urge everyone to head over to the following link and post a review about us. Thanks in advance. Here is the link. http://www.findmyhosting.com/addrating.asp?id=5330

New DNS can be very funny. The way dns works is per ISP. Each ISP maintains its own set of DNS servers. The frequency of updates on these dns servers is set by your ISP. More important than frequency of updates is number of dns servers ran by your isp. So here is my take on what you witnessed today. dns server1 at your isp updated 24 hours after you bought the domain name. dns server2 at your isp hasnt updated yet. Yesterday when you looked at the site, your internet connection grabbed dns server1 and the dns lookup was successful. Drink a toast, be happy. Now today you get online, and for whatever reason dns server1 at your isp is busy or down, and your internet connection grabbed dns server2, however that server hadnt cached or updated its global dns record for your site. IE: site down. So you tried again and again, and finally you hit dns server1 and whamo your site is online. This is VERY common with new domain propagation and I have seen it happen over and over again. It is known as new dns flip flop. I have seen new domains flip flop for 7 - 10 days, whilst in most cases they settle down in 24 - 72 hours. Bill

Some of you may remember several months ago we informed the clients that we would be making some rather large changes to our hosting packages. Well that time has come. Effective today all new clients will receive 2X the bandwith and large disk space increases on all reseller and virtual hosting accounts. For example. Our starter plan used to be sold at : 5.5GB Bandwidth Transfer per month 300MB of Disk Space The new starter plan is now offering: 10GB Bandwidth Transfer 450MB of Space This change is being offered currently to new clients with plans to phase the offerings into all accounts over the next 60-90 days. If you have any questions please feel free to post them here. Thanks for your continued support.

Well tonight is do or die for the Wings. Good news is that Stevie should be able to have full use of his eye. Anyways, my best friend told me today. "If the Wings loose tonight, they will fire Dave Lewis and Hire Barry Melrose". Off topic but I really like to see Melrose in detroit. GO WINGS!
