  1. As we near the end of another great year here at TCH, its time for us to ask our customers to review our services. Many hosting companies spend a lot of money on ad campaigns and so on, here at TCH we believe in keeping those funds in the bank and allowing us to keep our prices low and quality up. I would be thankful for any positive reviews that our customers could complete. Here is the link: http://www.findmyhosting.com/addrating.asp?id=5330 Thank you in advance and Happy Holidays.

  3. Hello, I have been watching the response times on tickets during our day shift and have noted that we have gotten busier and busier during the 8am - 4pm shift. With this in mind we have added another Level 1 technician to our roster just to assist our customers on the day shift. So we will have more technicians to assist you during our busiest hours. Please welcome Sam Peterson to our support team. I look forward to working with you Sam. Bill
  4. It means we just need to run a one line command on the server. cPanel has had some really big issues with their license verification servers lately. Since you did not leave a domain name or server number. I can not help Raise a ticket with the Help Desk or drop our server number in a reply here. Bill
  5. This should be corrected. *TCH-Dick growls at cPanel !!!
  6. This should require a ticket, but Andy and Myself are investigating this issue now. We will update you shortly.

  8. If you see all those hits from a Michigan DSL IP, that's me! I love your site!!! Any idea what year this rig is? http://www.phantom309drivers.org/gallery/a...1cn-38d_lrg.jpg
  9. I remember when everyone was so upset that ISP's started blocking SMTP ports and required all mail to pipe thru the ISP mail servers. Hindsight is 20/20 eh?
  10. After a 1.5 hour nap I have returned! Yes the server moves went well. I notice a 10 fold increase in speed. Hope it works well for everyone.
  11. We are upgrading the server for our main site and the forums. Things will be back up very shortly. Thank you.
  12. You win. Bill
  13. We would 100% allow a older backup to be restored. As you know Sam, we work with our clients. I am available 24/7 365 via cell phone which is published on the forums and am nearly online 16 hours per day and can be contacted via IM. Bill
  14. I have some comments I would like to add to this post. Firstly I am very sorry your site was compromised and I am sorry you are at a loss over your content however lets point out a few facts here. Your account was hacked. It was fully compromised and was used to send out emails that are designed to steal credit card numbers, paypal logins and E-bay account information. This is a blatant violation of federal law and could lead to criminal prosecution. This is VERY VERY SERIOUS. As you state in your post you have been online since 1999 and have never had issues. Since you have no idea that it is your responsibility to update your site, I think you are very lucky that this never occurred any sooner. In regards to your backups, I will give you a copy of your backup provided you do no re-upload it to my server. If this means you source a new host so be it. I do not want you to loose 6 years of your work. However you MUST realize that this backup most likely contains compromised data. I can not be held accountable for what happens when you upload to your new host. You state you get your scripts from hotscripts. This is not relevant to this at all. The proper maintenance and upgrading of your site lies 100% right in your lap. If you don't update your scripts your site will get compromised. It is that simple. If you expect us to maintain your scripts for $4.00 a month I think your mistaken. The server was NOT compromised it was YOUR account that was. This is not our fault and this is the bottom line. You should not fault others if you simply are not aware of the facts, and you are not in this case. I realize your upset but sit down and take a deep breath. Take more time to maintain your site and maybe this doesn't happen to you again. Contact me directly for a backup of your site. Good luck with your new host and please maintain your site in the future.
  15. David hit it right on the head. However, names and the like can be issued a mark. The Trademark can than be used to protect names from infringements. When discussing names "service mark" is used. A service mark is the same as a trademark, except that it identifies and distinguishes the source of a service rather than a product A copyright protects an original artistic or literary work.
  16. ASPELL was removed from all the TCH servers several months ago. It simply is a resource hog.
  17. This used to be a feature installed on all TCH servers however ASPELL is a working piece of rubbish. We removed the feature from horde months Ago as the loads on the servers were taking a beating because ASPELL is written so well that when it runs it eats over 1GB of RAM. To your comment about us not taking the time to handle requests this simply is not true. Perhaps the tech did not explain it enough, but this feature was removed and is not available on any of our cPanel shared servers. Bill
  18. In a ongoing attempt to improve the service's that we offer our clientele we are proud to announce the following new feature in all help desk tickets. This new feature will be available in every ticket submitted into our help desk. If you are viewing the ticket from within the help desk itself, you will now see a link at the bottom of each ticket. Simply stating: "Not happy with the level of service provided to you in this ticket, click here to escalate this issue to a manager." Clicking the link will take the user directly to a form that they can complete to have their ticket escalated to a manager. Basically what will happen is one of our on call managers will be paged and will be required to review the ticket and offer a resolution to the customer that was not obtainable with the first levels of support. Furthermore, the emails sent from the help desk will contain a link at the end of each e-mail allowing the customer to escalate issues. One thing I would like to point out, is please do not abuse this resource.
  19. I have restarted exim on your server. See if that corrects it. Loads are super low on the box, so its not due to server timeouts. load average: 0.24, 0.24, 0.32
  20. This has been completed.
  21. This has been completed.
  22. The help desk will be offline for approximately 30 minutes. We are upgrading the backed server hardware that runs our help desk. I will update this thread once the Help Desk is back online. Any emergencies please just post here and we will get on top of them for you. Thanks
  23. DWD Not at all. This is just a informational announcement about the forums.
  24. Hello Everyone, We are in the process of conducting yet again another hardware upgrade on the servers that run these forums. We are simply running out of horse power on the current server. In order to complete this upgrade it will be neccessary for us to take the forums offline for a bit of time. We are planning on doing this over the weekend and hopefully during the off peak hours. Antcipated downtime for the forums will be around 30 minutes. However, we are setting a 4 hour maintenance window for this. We will update this thread as we go along. Thanks!!
