It is now 12:03AM EST and the operations center is still on Generator Power.

I have just hung up the phone with all the Data Centers. I wanted to confirm with each one that they are not running on dc power. In fact all Data Centers are up and running on utility power.

7:33pm and were still on Generator Power

Please be advised that a good portion of the eastern United States and portions of Canada have been effected by a huge power blackout. Details can be found at cnn.com or any other major news outlet. The TCH Network Operations Center lost its power at approximately 4:43pm today. We have been running on backup generators since the blackout occurred. This is not effecting the quality of service provided to our clients at this time. You may notice a slight delay in email and non-emergency help desk ticket responses. All the data centers are 100% operational and are NOT effected by this blackout. Even if they were, each DC is equipped with Diesel Generators that would run until the power was restored. Remember the fires at EV1? We ran our servers on generator power for over one week when that occurred. Stay calm, everything is business as usual here at TCH.

I will be moving some posts around and in general cleaning up some areas. Just a heads up!

I encourage anyone interested in the requirements to look here or here Critical is right on the money. The rules do state that. However, we have seen quite a few come thru with non-us address' attached to the domain name. So I can understand where mitch is coming from.

This is what I read - *****@hsd.co.contra-costa.ca.us SMTP error from remote mailer after initial connection: host mailgw2.co.contra-costa.ca.us [64.166.144.19]: 550 Requested action not taken: mailbox unavailable. The server you were sending the email to was down. : vdeliver: Invalid or unknown virtual user '*****' That server did not know who the user you were sending to was. Doing a blacklist check on the IP Address reveals one source that says the IP is not listed however there have been previous complaints against the data center. All of course have been corrected. So its apparent that this IP is not blacklisted. Both the errors you listed indicate a failure on the recipients end. Bill

Hi, We do support mod_rewrite on all our servers. I think your spinning your wheels on this one however. Any site hosted here will work with or with the www extension. However, several people are using mod_rewrite to do other things, so you should have no issues. Bill

When the do not delete emails comes in to you inbox here is the deal. Normally this is no big deal. This letter is generated when IMAP is used. Sqmail or neomail might have generated the email. Normally no big deal. For some reason outlook freaks out when that email is the first one in line. It simply bugs out and throws the error your seeing. Drop a ticket in and we will delete that pesky little email and get your outlook working again.
