CleverName Posted March 30, 2004 Posted March 30, 2004 Hello, I have heard great things about TCH and was referred by an existing customer. I have a couple of questions please: 1--I registered my domain name through GoDaddy.com and paid an additional fee for the private registration via Domains By Proxy. If I decided to change my registrar to TCH would the private registration via DBP still be vaild? 2--I saw instructions/information regarding the POP3 email accounts working with Outlook Express. I am guessing that it will work with MS Outlook as well but I want to be certain. Thanks in advance for your assistance! CN Quote
dsdemmin Posted March 30, 2004 Posted March 30, 2004 As a customer for TCH for over a year, I can confirm the 'great things'. As to your questions, not sure about DBP, although you would not have to change your registration to host here. With regard to your email question: Yes, it would work and is very easy to set up. Maybe we will be welcoming you soon into our family Quote
TCH-Rob Posted March 30, 2004 Posted March 30, 2004 If I recall correctly, when you leave Go Daddy your DBP is released, you can get it here if you want as well. That said, although we wouldnt mind if you transferred over to us and got DBP here it isnt something you have to do. You can just change the name servers to point to us instead. hindixp Posted March 30, 2004 Posted March 30, 2004 Hi, Did any of TCH official notice that many "New To The Neighborhood" come here after Godaddy, why don't TCH offer more economical Domain Registrations too. If TCH has become so much considerable for Hostings why do you let go the Domain registration so Easy. My Personal request to Our HG Please Let your Domain pricing Rock the world as the hosting. Rock Sign See ya, manu Quote
Head Guru Posted March 30, 2004 Posted March 30, 2004 $10.95 pricing is the bottom line on domains. We make very very little money per domain sold. Quote
TCH-Don Posted March 30, 2004 Posted March 30, 2004 CN, if you have any questions on setting up Outlook there is a page on the TotalChoice Help site to explain it in detail. Many family members use Outlook, and can give more help if needed. Hope to see you in the introduction forum soon Thumbs Up Quote

Rock Sign See ya, manu Just to explain a little... My main reason for registering with GoDaddy is so I could go ahead and obtain the domain name(s) I wanted while I searched for a place to host them. I paid $8.95 for my domains and had I known who I would have been hosting with (in this case TCH) the extra $2 would not have deterred me. $10.95 for domain registration is still cheaper than most of the other hosts I checked out. Just another perspective for the TCH guys... Thanks, CN Quote
