I'm installing a php postcard script (vCard Lite), and it seems that when I send a card to an e-mail address out of my domain, I got an error like this by e-mail:

This message was created automatically by mail delivery software.

A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its

recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:

  someone@notmydomain.com

    unrouteable mail domain "notmydomain.com"

Does anyone know what is happening? ;)

* someone@notmydomain.com is just an example.

I would double check the scripts instructions, make sure you've got everything set up correctly again. On the other hand, sometimes email addresses are just not routable because of a million and one reasons. So if the majority is going through, I don't think you have anything to worry about. First things first though I would give a second look at the install script just to double check things there.

Everything is installed and configured correctly... but I only can send cards to something@**** ... ALL others e-mail address that are not of my domain return that error message. ;)

Hmm, I'm having the exact same problem on server35. Whenever I try to send email to Hotmail, Yahoo, or AOL (via PHP's mail() function) it gets sent back with the exact same message as you're getting.

I read elsewhere on these boards that I might need to add complete mail headers (and not just the 'From') when sending to these hosts, but I tried adding them exactly as they suggested and I'm still having troubles getting it through (I can to mydomain addresses).

So if anyone else has any ideas... Thanks.

I think I have corrected the php mail function on server35!

Please try again and let me know if it works now for you.
