Guest scop Posted August 11, 2003 Posted August 11, 2003 Hi everybody, After posting a question to this forum recently and some pre-sales help via email, I decided to purchase a hosting package. I ordered it about 27 hours ago and I still haven't received the email with details about my account, just the automated reply from the billing department soon after paying through Paypal. It says in the FAQ that if nothing has happened after 24 hours I should get in touch with admin again. However, I am aware that when I ordered it was early Sunday morning and I'm not sure if accounts are processed on a Sunday. If they aren't then this is not a complaint and I'm happy to wait until the people get back to work. On the other hand, if the 24 hour rule means *any* 24 hour period then I am very concerned because it appears that I may have been forgotten... Just wanting to clarify the situation, that's all. I really want to start transferring my account from the old server ASAP. Please advise me anyone! TIA, Tim. Quote

BoogieMan Posted August 11, 2003 Posted August 11, 2003 Hello, Can it be your system's problem? My account also encountered this situation. After I receive an auto-reply mail says my order was success, and then I didn't receive any further email about the instruction of my account for a long time . Then I asked my account through ticket system, the technical department answered me that they have already mailed me that kind of mail(but I didn't receive one.), and then re-post the mail in the replied message again. So I wonder that if it's TCH's technical support system's problem? Quote
TCH-Rick Posted August 11, 2003 Posted August 11, 2003 The account is set up and ready to go. I remember setting it while answering your Help Desk ticket. I'll have the welcome email resent to the email on file. Quote
Head Guru Posted August 11, 2003 Posted August 11, 2003 Scop I have just re-emailed your welcome email to you. Quote

The most popular being - Folks that sign up using a email address that they are wanting to host. Even though we clearly say during the sign up process not to do so. Our servers will end up sending the welcome email to the newly provisioned account. Quote
cheapwebsolutions Posted August 11, 2003 Posted August 11, 2003 Along the same lines as that question. Don't worry, I'm not complaining. I signed up yesterday afternoon. I just want to make sure I didn't mess anything up with my setup. I too received confirmation yesterday, but nothing since. I signed up with the domain cheapwebsolutions.com which is a virtual domain with my current host. I might have to do something special with them since I didn't create the info@cheapwebsolutions.com email I entered during registration. That email address just forwards mail to my home account. A reason I ask so early in the process is that my newest account wants to get going and I'd like to get him the named server info so he can point his domain at the TCH server. TIA. PS - Is this my wife? Whip Quote

Falls under the same problem that Head Guru explained, hence the reason why we tell you not to do so durring the sign up progress. If you still haven't gotten your welcome email, feel free to email me (mitch@totalchoicehosting.com) a secondary email address and I'll have it sent out to you as soon as possible. Quote
cheapwebsolutions Posted August 12, 2003 Posted August 12, 2003 Hey guys, don't forget about me Dance cheapwebsolutions.com Folks that sign up using a email address that they are wanting to host. Even though we clearly say during the sign up process not to do so. Our servers will end up sending the welcome email to the newly provisioned account. But if my email address is valid why would the mail not go through? info@cheapwebsolutions.com mail should go there shouldn't it? I'm getting other mail there today. My head hurts. Quote
