icejava Posted August 9, 2003 Posted August 9, 2003 My site is now hosted in hostdime, however, after a period of trial use. I found their service is NOT as good as described by the users of findmyhosting.com. I decided to switch (actually considering TCH). However, I have few questions to ask: 1) Usually how long the process taken if I switch the hosting to TCH ? (Will TCH give me the new DNS at instant so i could make it swiched asap ?) 2) If I sign-up a year plan. At the time I want to upgrade the plan, do I have to pay ALL of the new payment ? (I mean can I use the remaining credit of my previous yearly plan ?) 3) Do your cpanel (silver plan) provides Fantastico & phpmyadmin ? 4) Is that really 30-days $ back guarantee with no question ask ? (my previous hosting(s) set a lot of terms & conditions, which made me to pay @ least for a month for an unsatisflied service) 5) Is there any hidden cost behind the hosting plans ? (I want an honest answer) thx for answering my questions. Thumbs Up Quote
TCH-Sales Posted August 9, 2003 Posted August 9, 2003 Glad to hear you're thinking about coming over to us! To answer your first question, after you've paid all accounts are set up in 6-12 hours. (depending how busy we are on the day you sign up) To upgrade, all you need to do is put in a help desk ticket, and we'll walk you through the process. No you won't have to loose money, or loose the payments you've already made. We do provide PHP MyAdmin along with a plethora of many other 3rd party products. Here's a list of the 3rd party products we do provide. Yes, the 30 day money back promise is for real, and there are no questions asked. No hidden costs at all, and set up is totally free! Hope to see you with us soon! Quote

However, can you help me to copy/transefer the settings (such as email a/c, FTP...) to the Cpanel in the TCH hosting ? Rock Sign Drop a support ticket into our support desk. Here is the url for you to use. https://ssl.totalchoicehosting.com/supportdesk/ You must inlude the following: IP Address of the server @ oldhost Username for the account @ oldhost password for the account @ oldhost If everything goes well, we will be able to move your entire account over without you lifting a finger. Now, with that said, the transfer really relies on the speed and reliabilty of the other hosts server. I have no first hand experience with this host, so we shall see what happens. It should be fine. Deverill Posted August 10, 2003 Posted August 10, 2003 If everything goes well, we will be able to move your entire account over without you lifting a finger. Jeez, I wish I knew this when I switched! I never expected a host to go to the trouble of going to my old site and pulling out my site for me... I always just figured it was my headache. Once again, you guys far exceed expectations. TCH Rules! Quote

cheapwebsolutions Posted August 10, 2003 Posted August 10, 2003 Bill - Is this common practice and is it simple for you guys to do? I too figure is my headache, but if I screw things up once my account is set I may get a support ticket myself Quote
Head Guru Posted August 10, 2003 Posted August 10, 2003 As long as the other hosts server is cPanel, is online and your account is not over 120MB in size its a cake walk. We dont mind helping you out on this at all. As stated above just drop a ticket in to support and we will get you moved. Thanks Bill Quote
