Digirunt Posted July 15, 2003 Posted July 15, 2003 I just checked my awsome stats page Rock Sign and noticed I've been hit by a user on a mobile phone. Seeing as I havn't even been crawled yet and my site isn't [i don't think] WAP compatible how is this possible. Could it be a fluke occurance that one of the first real visitors to my site is sat on the bog reading my poetry. Does this happen often. Should I create a wap version. [please say no] Yours confusedly Digirunt Quote
cmuskett Posted July 15, 2003 Posted July 15, 2003 I have 3 hits from 2 different Phone Browsers: WebCollage (PDA/Phone browser) UP.Browser (PDA/Phone browser) Quote
Lianna Posted July 15, 2003 Posted July 15, 2003 Well, one way to find out is to mention it in your blog, I suppose. I'm not sure that I'd go terribly out of my way to create a WAP version on the basis of a single visitor though, but you could put a simple poll on your site, like, "Who'd use a WAP version if I built it?" and options of "I would" and "I wouldn't" and "What's a WAP?" Head Guru Posted July 15, 2003 Posted July 15, 2003 Hit by a car phone. Wow.. Just never know these days. This is a common occurance. We get many tickets with the same question and we answer it the same way. There are billions of pages requested every day, perhaps someone found you site by a word of mouth referal or from a link some where. Bill Quote
