Customer Comment : Date : 2/11/2003 8:19:00 PM DO NOT USE TOTALCHOICE HOSTING! UNLESS YOU WANT TO THROW YOUR MONEY AWAY, FIND SOMEONE ELSE NOW! From the Minute I paid for TotalChoice, I knew it was going to be a bad time. Like other hosting companies that have similar prices, I expected immediate activation, Nope. It took them 2 days to get me a welcome email, that came only after contacting their support department. My Site has been down about 7 hours since it came up! Pinging totalchoicehosting.com [64.191.45.129] with 32 bytes of data: Reply from 64.191.45.129: bytes=32 time=224ms TTL=52 Reply from 64.191.45.129: bytes=32 time=394ms TTL=52 Reply from 64.191.45.129: bytes=32 time=308ms TTL=52 Reply from 64.191.45.129: bytes=32 time=252ms TTL=52 This is not just my ISP.. I get pings of 20ms on yahoo - Very unstable server.. I find their Live Support on their Website is not on during normal business hours. However, they are not times like 8am-5pm (Not one time when I checked) - But weird times such as 9pm-3am. Their name servers they provide for you (NS10) Do Not Resolve! My domain is sitting on One NS Server... Another example of a part of them that doesnt work. Also Their AIM Names, MSN, and Yahoo names are near impossible to contact, due to always being in the 'Away' State I know they will reply all professional acting like this is a one time thing, saying that I am just angry doing to bad service, speed, and prices... But Im sure they have many other cases just like this. I'll bet they only give out their FindMyHosting.com Link to People that they have gotten LUCK END CASE - TotalChoice may look flasy with their colorful graphics.. But all you get with them is poor, snide, lethargic customer service, SLOW SERVERS, and Horrible Prices. I suggest ANYONE ELSE Except Them. Im sure that they will reply with some fake comments like 'Sorry for any inconvience, or something bogus like them' I ALSO AM WAITING FOR A REPLY FROM 6 EMAILS FROM THEM ASKING FOR A REFUND. I will start at the start at the top of his review. 1. “I expected immediate activation“. What you expected and what our web site clearly states are different. This is from our web site “New accounts are usually setup within 1-12 hours. We do not offer instant activation on any hosting plan. New accounts go through a verification process. We verify new accounts to insure the integrity of our customer base.“ Your account was set up 9 hours after you ordered. 2. “My Site has been down about 7 hours since it came up!“. Not true. Pinging our main server is pointless. We dont place accounts on the same server as our main website. Either way it is your ISP that is having route problems.I invite others to ping the exact IP you list. 4. “Very Unstable Server”. Well considering you never uploaded your web site, I would like to know how you came to that conclusion. 5. “Their name servers they provide for you (NS10) Do Not Resolve!“ Not True. To prove this here is the name server he is stating that doesnt resolve. NS10.TOTALCHOICEHOSTING.COM, once again he has problems with the internet connection. I invite any one to trace route this Nameserver. 6. As far as his comments about out tech support, our forums and reviews speak for themselves. 7. I love this one. “Horrible Prices.“ I am not sure where that comment comes from. $4.00 a month is far from Horri -zeth Quote

I would also like to point out, TCH accepts all and complete criticism. Feedback is very important to us and the way we run things here at TCH, after all, its the customers that are our number 1 priority, and we are always acting to improve and refine the services that we offer you, and we only can do that because of the good and bad comments that we get. I could not upload to the web site hosted by TCH. They kept saying the problems were with my computer and not at their end. They changed my user name from what it was to Cheese and Crackers and didn't tell me. Then said it was me causing the problem because I could't upload. I worked on trying to upload a side 16 hours a day for 5 days, No luck. When I told them I wanted to cancel the account they respoded to me by e-mail with this. Your account has been cancelled and your refund has been processed. Maybe you should have a tech look at your computer equipment. I spent four hours with you tonight, and all along I knew it was your equipment. Last time we talked you uploaded your images to the wrong folder. Maybe you should read a bit more about using FrontPage and other HTML programs. We have over 1500 clients using our servers every day. Either way it was nice doing business with you. Good bye. You are running a pirated copy of Windows XP Corporate as you admitted in your chat. Your hard drive crashed, you installed a new hard drive, you re-installed java, then unistalled it, then reinstalled it, then you realized you were using .com instead of .net, then it was your browser, then you downloaded a new version of your broswer, then you realized that Opera Browser wont work with front page, then you stayed up every night for fifteen hours and tried to upload to our servers, then you figured out you had to use Internet Explorer, then when you did upload to our servers you were mad because you were not able to view your website, then we figured out you uploaded the content to the wrong folder, then you wanted your account re-done because you deleted the WWW folder. Oh and the password, you requested that it be changed. So as far as what our tech choose when they recreated your account is up to the tech. So my suggestion to you about reading some books was only meant to help you out. To all other potential customers read our other reviews you will see that this is not typical.
