Google is having another limited signup for a new service. You can check it out here.

 

I am not sure how willing people are going to be able to let go of their current spreadsheet software. Id imagine most users are locked into a particular program due to standards at work.

 

Its fun to see thing shifting to the free online version though

I can think of at least 2 situations I have where the sharing and access from anywhere will come in handy

Then there are the folks that are too paranoid to share their private information (financials for ex) on a server owned by a 3rd party. Remember, these could be subpoenaed by the cops or hacked by the crooks.

Not sure if any of you signed up for Google spreadsheets. I did, but never received an e-mail "inviting" me to test it out. But, for the heck of it, I tried spreadsheet.google.com and got in with no problem (I already have a Google account).

 

So, if you've been waiting to try it, you may want to see if you already have access.
