wampthing Posted June 6, 2006 Posted June 6, 2006 Google is having another limited signup for a new service. You can check it out here. I am not sure how willing people are going to be able to let go of their current spreadsheet software. Id imagine most users are locked into a particular program due to standards at work. Its fun to see thing shifting to the free online version though Quote
TCH-JimE Posted June 6, 2006 Posted June 6, 2006 Nice post Dave. Sorry but I can never let go of excel or the very old dos version of supercalc. JimE Quote
Redeagle Posted June 6, 2006 Posted June 6, 2006 oh nice, thank you for the info! I can think of at least 2 situations I have where the sharing and access from anywhere will come in handy Quote
Deverill Posted June 6, 2006 Posted June 6, 2006 Then there are the folks that are too paranoid to share their private information (financials for ex) on a server owned by a 3rd party. Remember, these could be subpoenaed by the cops or hacked by the crooks. Quote
nortk Posted June 12, 2006 Posted June 12, 2006 Not sure if any of you signed up for Google spreadsheets. I did, but never received an e-mail "inviting" me to test it out. But, for the heck of it, I tried spreadsheet.google.com and got in with no problem (I already have a Google account). So, if you've been waiting to try it, you may want to see if you already have access. Quote
