Is It A Good Price? Need Advice

Hi all,

 

I have a real quick question, I found a web design firm and they offered me a dedicated server

 

with my package for $49.99/Month well $50.00 a month. Is that good price for dedicated server?

 

Is it a good deal for the hosting part? Any advice would be helpful

That price seems downright impossible for a dedicated server. They may be offering you a VPS, although it still seems too cheap. A quick Google search will show you how much dedicated servers cost.

 

Our dedicateds start at $149.

It depends on what they give you, what speeds the computers are.

ive never had a dedicated server but looking round this place seems to have good deals have a check

you best check, it may be Semi-dedicated. i mean some "professional" packages cost more that that!

I'd recommend checking for independent (not on the host's webpage) user comments regarding the host... sounds a little too-good-to-be-true, which frequently are.

maybe its off ebay...

you buy it, it works for a month, then CPanel gets Red lights, you panic, then they get bored and shut down.

i had some hosting where this Guy said he has to close cause one of his re-seller clients had an illegal mp3 site, all lies really, as he could pass the costs of the case to the person who loaded said mp3's

end of the day, if its too good to be true, its is, dont get ripped off, go to someone that can be trusted, i.e after why many years of "rubbish" hosting i came to TCH

That is a great price, but I doubt you'll get high quality support and stability with that server. Expect what you pay for
