Hi,

I got a question concerning php-nuke...

I tried installing php-nuke manually, but i guess im to dumb to do it, because i cant get it to work, after a search here, I found something about php-nuke being an addon script in cpanel (with the newer servers).

So my question is, will server 5 get it too? or is there any way i can get some help or something with it?

as always many thanks in advance for any kind of help...

By the way: sorry if im bothering all you nice people with my stupidity...

Hey, no stupidity unless you want to lump me into that category too! :D ;) Was about a month ago that I too tried to install phpNuke on my own....NO GO! I must have worked on it for 9 hours before I bailed. Now, I'm not stupid, but I had absolutely no luck getting the darn thing to go. There has to be a trick to it that I was missing and couldn't track down.

Anyway, shortly after that HG added phpNuke to the Addon Scripts. It should be on 5, if you click Add on Scripts in cPanel, it should list phpNuke. Let me know here if it does not.

As to my demise....I went with PostNuke. It was the EASIEST install of ANY app that I'd ever done. Point, Click, Shoot. Done. I love it.

It never made it to 17 either--unless I'm just totally blind

I tried doing a manual install, maybe one thru cpanel would be easier?

Well, I'll have to agree here, in the time that passed since my last post, I was able to upload all the files to my site, setup a database, and get my PostNuke site up and running--one of the most user friendly packages I've seen out there. Not that I have much content yet, but at least I got started

Yme369 - *YAY* Rick's a good guy, huh? hmm. Let's not ruin his reputation. (Joking, Rick! Everybody knows you ROCK!)

jimzdat - *YAY* PN has a ton of adds too! I particularly like the calendar and the ability to create more than one category with each having their own icon/image.

:) All's right in the world.
