hiddenb Posted November 22, 2004 Posted November 22, 2004 i have the Silver Plan, what is the minimum i need to have Parked and Add on Domains or can i just add that to my account? Quote
TCH-Andy Posted November 22, 2004 Posted November 22, 2004 Welcome to the Family You can have parked domains - just submit a ticket to the Help Desk (link at the top of the page) and get us to park the domain for you. For Addon domains, you would need a reseller account. Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted November 22, 2004 Posted November 22, 2004 Welcome to the family! Andy explained it all. Quote

andreaplanet Posted January 7, 2005 Posted January 7, 2005 but....why is the parked domain function disabled in the control panel? isnt it easier to enable the function in the control panel? Quote
bellringr Posted January 7, 2005 Posted January 7, 2005 Unless you have a reseller account, you have to submit a help desk ticket to park a domain. I'm guessing this is so people don't point parked domains to subdomains and such when they're not supposed to. Quote
andreaplanet Posted January 7, 2005 Posted January 7, 2005 mmm, after i parked a domain with a ticket i can always point it to a subdirectory via .htaccess or a redirect in the main index.php file. just an example. so with a ticket you can't check that i am violating the AUP. Quote
TCH-Andy Posted January 7, 2005 Posted January 7, 2005 Hi, Please see This Thread for a discussion on this. Quote
andreaplanet Posted January 7, 2005 Posted January 7, 2005 Hi, Please see This Thread for a discussion on this. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hi Andy. my question is just technical, nothing to do with the policy. i issued a ticket for parking a domain and this was be done by the support staff in about less than 30 minutes (don't remember exactly). i just was curious to know why the function is disabled in the control panel.... TCH-Rick Posted January 7, 2005 Posted January 7, 2005 We have chosen the policy to require that domain parking be done through the Help Desk. The Cpanel parking option does not always work correctly and by requiring that it be done by us we can check that it is correct and if there is a problem we have a record of what has been done that we can review. As for using .htaccess or redirection to get around the AUP, we do not routinely police sites but if it is brought to our attention the site will be suspended. Quote
