Head Guru Posted March 19, 2003 Posted March 19, 2003 I have the spent the past couple hours updating all the servers with Invision Board! In cPanel click on Add-On Scripts. All Servers now will auto install INVISION POWER BOARD! Enjoy your new features..
jimzdat Posted March 19, 2003 Posted March 19, 2003 Thanks Bill ! Do have one question though--I have a phpBB setup on one of my subdomains; is there a easy way to convert it to Invision, or would I have to start over from scratch? (got 150+ forum divisions-don't wanna have to redo them if I can help it, but I have seen posts saying Invision has a nicer admin interface) Thanks again, Jim BTW--it's 4 in the morning-Do you ever sleep?
TCH-Rick Posted March 19, 2003 Posted March 19, 2003 Go to http://www.invisionboard.com/?resources and get the converter to convert a phpBB to Invision.
TCH-Don Posted March 19, 2003 Posted March 19, 2003 Thanks again TCH, you need a new smilies image so I can just click to say TCH Rocks!
Head Guru Posted March 19, 2003 Author Posted March 19, 2003 Turtle - Your wish is my command! TCH Rocks
Lianna Posted March 19, 2003 Posted March 19, 2003 TCH Rocks Ah, now that's just the pecans in the sandies, boys!
Scholar Warrior Posted March 23, 2003 Posted March 23, 2003 I clicked on the addon scripts but alas, nothing was there! (i'm on server 20)
Lianna Posted March 23, 2003 Posted March 23, 2003 Server 20 is the newest kid on the block....probably just got missed. Thanks for the heads-up and we'll look into it as soon as possible. Thanks! Lianna
tmwes Posted March 31, 2003 Posted March 31, 2003 FWIW; I was running phpbb and converted to the invision provided by TCH; unfortunately, the converter on Invision's site didn't work with the version of Invision provided by TCH. I manually installed the latest version from Invision; and the conversion worked fine. The only thing that doesn't convert correctly is the member list; which is a problem, because it wipes out your admin user/pass and then craps out!
elvenjess Posted April 4, 2003 Posted April 4, 2003 And I find this now after I installed it myself... IBF rocks!
