I´m not sure this will help, but I made a search on google for "0x800ccc92" and most answers indicates its a possible corrupted password.

Please submit a ticket to let them know about this, and they will fix it.

Hi Mae, I just visited the url you mention above. I got an directory listing, which included a public_html and if this text is correct, then you have a index.htm on your site: But for some reason it wont work with "lisafrase.com" or "lisafrase.com/index.htm", instead I must use "lisafrase.com/public_html/index.htm". Did you for some reason tell FP to publish to a subfolder?

Sorry Yankman30, don´t know the answer but someone will so just hang on. Welcome to the forum.

Yes. By setting up the subdomain as described above, should do so you can access it by either www.powellohio.org/gv or gv.powellohio.org. No other redirection should be necessary.
-
If you have entered gv in the empty text box before your domain on that page (which should be all you need to do to set up a subdomain), it should work more or less instantly. You can also try to delete the current folder gv and then set up the subdomain. That will automatically create a folder named gv under the public_html. If this doesn´t work, please submit a ticket to the tech guys (link on to of page) and they will have a look if somethings wrong.

In your cpanel: 1) Go to Domains 2) Click on Manage SubDomains 3) Enter the info and that should do it.

I just tried it and it works very well for me. Are you sure you filled out all info such as servername and your domain name?

Hi and welcome to the forum, erik. - Is the IPB software use still for free even when it's the sole intention to have a forum, or do I have to buy my own license for it ? The "free" license ended with version 1.3.1 I believe. In cpanel that comes with your TCH-account are 2 forum scripts, Invision Powerboard (IPB) and Phpbb. The IPB in cpanel is several versions earlier than the newest and you are always recommended to use the latest, if not for anything else, so for security reasons. However, the phpbb forum is still free to use, so you could install and use it for free. Same here though, always use the latest version is recommended. - are posts and uploaded pictures by boardmembers counted as used webspace ? Anything that happens on your account are counted in the webspace and bandwidth. - can I make fully and complete back ups from the (free) messageboard, or do I loose a lot of material if I ever would decide to move the forum to another host ? This I am not sure of, but I would think that as long you have a current back up of the mysql database, it should be fine. It's not completely clear to me if I can buy a domain name just anywhere and have it pointed to my forum, or if I can only make use of domain names that I bought at totalchoice.? You can register your domain anywhere you want and ask the registrar to point your domain to the nameservers listed in the welcome email from TCH. If I buy a domain name at totalchoice, can I "take it with me" to another registar if I decide to host elsewhere ? Yes. Hope this helps and if you have anymore questions, feel free to ask.

Get it here. Also, be sure to read the important info about it.

While there are many users of phpbb here which might be able to help you with any questions you might have, you can also check out http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/.
