  5. Hi Gabi, Both sites will of course be added if you want, but we do need to know which sections to add them and we also need descriptions for them including names for the sites, please see #2, 3 and 4 in this post. Please add this info into this thread and I will add the sites as soon as I see the additional info.

  10. As many people might have heard AOL will stop the support for the Netscape browser and they are recommending to give Firefox a try. They are however releasing one last version/update for it, link below. Read more about it at: blog.netscape.com/2007/12/28/end-of-support-for-netscape-web-browsers/ which probably means this is the last secunia advisory (secunia.com/advisories/29049/) regarding Netscape browsers. Rating: Highly critical Description: Netscape has acknowledged some weaknesses, a security issue, and some vulnerabilities in Netscape Navigator, which can be exploited by malicious people to disclose sensitive information, bypass certain security restrictions, conduct spoofing attacks, or to compromise a user's system. Solution: Update to version 9.0.0.6: browser.netscape.com/downloads or try Firefox.

  13. From: Secunia secunia.com/advisories/29029/ Rating: Highly critical Description: Some vulnerabilities have been reported in Opera, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting attacks, disclose sensitive information, or to bypass certain security restrictions. 1) A security issue is caused due to a design error when handling input to file form fields, which can potentially be exploited to trick a user into uploading arbitrary files. 2) An error within the handling of custom comments in image properties can be exploited to execute arbitrary script code in the wrong security context when comments of a malicious image are displayed. 3) An error in the handling of attribute values when importing XML into a document can be exploited to bypass filters and conduct cross-site scripting attacks if these values are used as document content. The vulnerabilities are reported in versions prior to 9.26. Solution: Update to version 9.26. opera.com/download/

  18. No, its easy. Just register the domain, point it to the same nameservers as the old one and submit a ticket to have a tech replace the old domain with new domain on your TCH account (or parked if you wish that).
  19. I saw this a while ago but gave it up after about five questions. On the other hand I was pretty good at rewriting the map so maybe I should have continued...placing Stockholm in the Caribbean.
  20. By "main directory" I assume people see your blog directly by visiting your-tch-hosted-domain.com, which means they are already seeing an index page in the main directory. The index page is usually the first page a visitor comes to and there can only be one index.php in a directory. I´ve heard that you could place an index.html in the same directory and it would overrule the index.php (or if its the other way around, someone else will confirm this), but if the indexhtml overrules the index.php you could probably link to the blog from that page. Another option would be to use wordpress own "static page option" and make that your "welcome page". To check out if this option is something for you, log in to your wordpress admin, then go options > reading. I am personally using this option on tompasworld.com and I think it works well.
  21. You would upload the whole php file in to the folder you created in step 1-3 in the Backup Faq thread 1. Create a folder in your /home/cpanelname folder called dbsender 2. Change permissions of dbsender folder to 770 3. Upload edited dbsender.php script to dbsender folder you created As for which cron manager to use, I would use the standard.
  22. Just a little heads up that there seems to be a new spammer (mary8000) in the forum that sends out some kind of "Nigeria mail" spam to our pm inboxes. Please ignore these pm´s and if anyone receives an inappropriate private message please inform one of the mods so we can deal with the user. Thank you.
  23. Welcome to the forum, Kevin.
  24. Stefans links have been fixed. Just copy and paste in to another tab/window as usual.
