If you use Ultimate Form Mail, you'll have to make some minor modifications to the code found in the HTML tab...not in the WYSIWYG section. Dodosmail might be the same type of thing (I haven't used this). If you still can't get it to work, send me a PM with a link and I'll see what i can do to help you out.

From the looks of their web site, the latest version is 2.1. Perhaps they came out with a newer version without a lot of fanfare. And welcome to the forums!

Welcome to the forums. From the location that you said (/cgi/formmail) it appears that you are using a script created by another family member. This is written in PHP, not specifically Frontpage. You might want to check out his forum found here. He checks his forum quite often. Edit: Man! It would help if I wake up and have some coffee before answering posts first thing in the morning! Army: Check out the URL link I gave you. If you have questions on how to install that, then you can ask there or on the forums here as several family members also use that script. There are many other options out there...TCH-Don gave you another good one to look at. Check things out and let us know what happens. We're here to help! (Even without the coffee!) Sorry for any confusion!

Welcome to the forums! Most high speed access ISP's don't allow hosting. However, they also don't allow in-home networking without having you pay for it, but many people do it anyway. You probably could do it, but with the great prices at TCH, why? (Besides, you get a lot more bang for the buck with TCH!) If you are wanting to learn about web hosting, you might want to think about setting up a "test server" to test out different designs, scripts, etc.

Welcome to the forums. Generally speaking, if you have server-related issues in the future ( ), drop a ticket to the help desk. Us Mod's don't have access to the servers to find out what's going on and it may help spot a potential issue. Glad to hear you got it fixed!

While doing some surfing, I ran across this page describing gif and png graphics and their usage in web site development. Of course, this might be nothing new to the "old hats" at web site creation, but it may help us relative "newbies"! I found it interesting that nothing was mentioned on this page about jpg's.

Welcome to the forums! See how helpful the family is here? I even learned something on this one!

Welcome to the forums. MS Publisher should work okay for you since you are just starting out. But like Don said, as you get more experience, you'll want to move to something that will allow you more creative freedom.

Have you got a bootable floppy? (Does the machine even HAVE a floppy?) Despite all the preaching, sometimes it takes something like this to drive a point home. (Experience speaking here.)

First, welcome to the forums. Since you have a significant amount of programming experience, it shouldn't be too hard to teach the old dog. My personal take is that code generators are fine for initially learning the stuff (i.e. what goes on in the background). MS Frontpage comes to immediate mind. But for better, cleaner code, nothing beats hand coding, as surfire said. Sounds like you'll be able to be programming away in no time. You'll get it!

Tom is right. Actually, one of the "bennies" of Unix is that it IS case-sensative. But you have to be careful in how you use that.

Welcome to the forums. The search engines don't care whether you have commas or not. I've done it both ways, and the engines pick it up just fine. (Just remember to leave a space in between word!)

Welcome to the forums. Did the script suggestion work?

TCH-Thomas had previously posted it here, but as far as security info goes, we can ALWAYS use a reminder. Thanks, abinidi!
