Keep in mind that which ever one you decide on, for security reasons make sure you load the latest version.

Welcome to the forums. I'd do a google search to see if something is out there. I'd also keep Don's caution at the forefront of any program you decide on. -
Quick update. I've been told that all school construction in Broward County (Ft. Lauderdale area) has been halted due to this law. There has been considerable letter writing by local (city/county) law makers to the state House and Governor this past week. There will be a newspaper article coming out on Monday plus the local TV station is doing a report on it. So we'll see what will happen in the coming days. Rumor mill has it that there will be a special session of the State House called in the next week.

Is the bar still open? If so, I'd like to have a tall, frozen margarita with a beer chaser.

There's a couple ways to do it. If you open up your CPanel, look for "File Manager" and click on that. Once File Manager opens up, simply navigate to the file or folder you need, then click on it. In the upper right hand corner, you'll see something that says "Change Permissions". That's the place to change it. The other way is by using a FTP program. (Not sure what you have so I included both options.)

Maybe reinstall SP2? You can remove much of the adware without having to remove any service packs.

First of all, welcome to the forums. Now for a little terminology. What it sounds like you have connected to the printer is a wireless print server...not a router. A router does just what the name implies - it routes. The printer needs to be connected to something that "serves" it the data to print. I don't have a wireless print server, so I'm just guessing from this point. Others will chime in shortly if I'm wrong. You should be able to go to the wireless router configuration and set it up just like you did for the laptops to accept the printer to the network. Then, I'm assuming that there will need to be some type of network configuration setup on the printer server too. Once everything is in sync, then the router should treat the print server kinda like a computer connection. That is, has an IP address assigned to it. Then on your computers, simply set up a printer to print to the IP address you assigned. Hope this helps some!

Since this is the Open Discussion, I wanted to vent a little with my fellow family members. Here in Florida, there was a recent law enacted called the “Jessica Lunsford Act” that was designed to regulate and track sexual predators. However, caught up in this act are school employees and anyone who has a contract in dealing with a school. This includes sports officials. We were required to submit to a “level 2” background screening (fingerprint background check) in order to officiate any sport. The cost, in my case, was $61. A portion of this cost was reimbursed to us by the state High School Athletics Association. We were told that this background screening would be done in our home county and would be good state wide. Now it seems that the State Department of Education has gotten involved and has determined that the background screening would be good for only one year in one county. As my sport (soccer) officiates games within a 4-county region, this could cost each referee $244. We have also been told that next year, the cost would be $155 PER COUNTY and be good for 5 years (or $124 per county per year). The way things stand right now, our local soccer season is in serious jeopardy of even being played at all due to lack of officials. While I understand and whole-heartedly agree with the concept of this Law, I have to admit it was planned and voted on very quickly. (For those who don’t know, it is based on the kidnapping, rape, and murder of a little girl last year in the Tampa area.) If it puts our relatively small sport of soccer in trouble, I’d hate to think of the implications on a major sport such as Football, which is KING in the United States. I have already wrote the governor and other elected officials, plus sent letters to the local media. I'm hoping that will be enough to get this issue resolved to something that resembles common sense. **** Ok...off soapbox. Thanks family! I feel better already!

FWIW... I recently had to reformat and reinstall my Win2K OS. I stuck a Western Digital 60 GB disk in. My BIOS wouldn't recognize the disk. So me, being lazy, just left the HD installed. Once I got Win2K running, the OS found the hardware and I was able to use it. Maybe W98 might do the same for you. (Unless you are only using the one drive.)

Hi ben and welcome to the forums. I'm assuming you've already done the simple things like making sure the device driver is current. Intermittent problems are a real pain to diagnose. One thing I've found helpful is to write down what programs I have running and what I did just before the device stopped working. Sometimes that helps to spot a pattern that may lead to the solution.
