  4. Your problem might very well be related to one of the hacks. As far as starting over, suit yourself, but before going to all that trouble, I would at least check to see if the ACP left pane displays using subSilver in order to rule out any possibility of there being subtle differences between your template and the default template in the ACP. If the problem is the same in subSilver, then I would start looking into those hacks that required code changes in admin script files, and then back out the hacks that might be suspect one at a time.

  11. I think that your problem might be related to the template that you are using. I have several boards based on phpBB 2.0.22, and have not experienced that problem. Most of the templates that I use are based upon subSilver, however. One of the alternate templates on one board is not based on subSilver, and since the upgrade, it looks weird when viewed in Firefox, but looks normal in IE 7. In that I will be migrating this board over to phpBB3 in a few months, and since there are two other templates for users to select, I haven't attempted to troubleshoot it. I mention this to you since the screenshot that you posted is in Firefox. Here are some things to try: 1. If you haven't already checked this, see if the problem also exists using IE. 2. The ACP uses frames, and the left frame is not displaying. Try to right click in the whitespace and reload the frame. If that doesn't work, since you are using Firefox, right click select "this frame" "open frame in new tab". 3. Check the support thread on phpBB.com for the template that you are using, to see if anyone else is experiencing this problem. 4. If none of those things worked, and if subSilver is still in your installation, switch the style in your profile to subSilver. However, if override user style is set to yes in the configuration and since you are unable to access the configuration panel in ACP, you might need to change that value in the config table of your database via phpMyAdmin in order to be able to change the style for your username. If you do need to do this, browse the 'config' table of your forum database, and edit the 'override_user_style' column, changing it to "0". This will allow you to change the theme setting in your profile. I hope this helps. --Bob

  15. This is great news!!! I've been testing Olympus in various stages of Beta and RC, and I'm really looking forward to this. I have one forum that can be upgraded soon, and another for which I need to wait until the User Blog Mod is further along in development.
  16. If you have now installed Firefox, you might also try installing the add-on Webdeveloper 1.1.4. This will give you some additional tools to analyze the html and css of a webpage. One of the options on the Webdeveloper tool bar is a utility that will display form information. With it you can quickly display the form tag and option tags in the form.
  17. This is very sad news. Don had a way of always making everyone feel so welcome here. He will certainly be missed. My most sincere condolences to his family. May he rest in peace --Bob

  24. Thanks for the info. I am in phpMyAdmin on that account every day, and it had not appeared until this morning. Not knowing what information schema is, I thought that I would post here before doing anything else.
  25. The server hosting one of my sites was upgraded to PHP 5 and mysql 5.0.27 this morning. Checking out the site, I see a new database named "information_schema". Was this something installed and used in the upgrade process? Can I delete this database, or should I open a ticket? EDIT -- I only see this db as an option in the database selection dropdown in phpMyAdmin. It does not show up in the database listing in cpanel.
