  1. I think you are mistaken. I have a filter set up on all my accounts to forward email flagged as spam to a separate spam address, but spam sent to non-existent account fails, as it should. I'm not sure why this is not working for the original poster, but it is definitely possible for cpanel/spamassassin to handle mail how he wants.
  2. Just thought I'd share something I found about Cpanel 11 for the benefit of others who may have the same problem... The converted filter rules worked fine for me after the upgrade... UNTIL I made a change (I deleted a filter). Once I did this, all the converted rules stopped working, and instead of sending certain messages to an email address as they used to, messages that matched the filters just disappeared. To fix this, I deleted all of my converted rules and re-created them. This wasn't too bad, considering the filtering is much nicer in cpanel 11. However, I wish I had known to do this yesterday so I wouldn't have lost an entire days worth of mail that should have been delivered to a different address according to my filters. (I use these rules extensively to filter potential spam from my users, in addition to spamassassin). Just thought other people may want to know this!
  3. It was very helpful when were were notified in advance about the first set of servers going through this conversion. I was able to explain the change my users and backup their mail. Is there a reason we weren't notified about the next of servers that were upgraded? I'm expecting a lot of questions from customers today after last night's changes since I couldn't tell them about it in advance.
  4. Thanks for the quick responses. When I began researching this issue, I did find the official announcement about the deletions - but the announcement was made THE SAME DAY the forwarders were deleted. Even if I HAD subscribed to the announcements, I still wouldn't have had time to check all of my accounts. And since there WAS 48 hours warning via email when the AOL change was made, I KNOW that you can send out such announcements - why wasn't this done? I shouldn't have to check your website every 2 hours just to keep up to date! (I know, I know, I can subscribe, but should I have to subscribe in order to receive VERY IMPORTANT notices?) Why was the AOL email sent, but the Comcast notification just put in the forums?
  5. I remember the announcement a long time ago that AOL forwards were going to be deleted, but I never received a recent notice that Comcast forwards were going to be deleted now. I have 2 reseller accounts and several additional standalone accounts as well - shouldn't I have been warned about this change? This is very frustrating that I had to find out about this when someone had email bounce - fortunately it was a family member, and not a customer. Now, when a customer asks me about it, I've at least done the research so that I'll at least know what has happened! I wish I had been warned BEFORE this change was implemented, so that I could go through all of my 60+ domains and find out which ones had email forwarded to Comcast addresses. As a thought about that - I assume that all of these deletions are being logged, so that I can put in a ticket to request a list of all the forwarder deletions that were made to my accounts? Please tell me yes... PK
  6. Well, I'm such a big fan of TCH that I couldn't resist posting some sort of picture of my office...so, while I was supposed to be working this afternoon, I took some time instead to take a quick inventory of the contents of my office: 6 desktops 2 laptops 1 Pocket PC Phone (on the left, also displaying TCH website) 1 HP Laserjet 3150 2 Scanners 1 Digital Video Camera 2 VCR's (going to video capture cards) And bins upon bins of miscellaneous computer odds & ends (there's more of them in the closet behind where I'm taking the picture from) (Click on the picture for larger image) Paul Krohnert http://www.krohnert.net
  7. And one other question - just checking some math: If I buy the SSL certificate from TCH, and get it installed, how much is it? Is it: $85 + $35 = $120? Or is it $110? PK
  8. Not to keep beating a dead horse here, but if I buy an SSL certificate from TCH (for $85), who would the issuer be? InstantSSL? Equifax? I just wanted to make sure that it's pretty universally recognized... PK
  9. I'm on a reseller plan, and one of my customers asked me this question: "Does the TotalChoice implementation of PEAR include the DB.PHP. or should I include it, myself, locally." Anyone have any guidance for me (and him)? Thanks... Paul
