0.1333 is my best so far....Home Run!

Good point, Rob! Maybe I should try that...

Ken can eat with chopsticks no problem. I, on the other hand, cannot. I try every time, and then give up when my fingers start cramping.

It has been failing accessing it that way as well, Thomas. I've had to open two tickets (and re-open one when it happened again) to get it fixed. Not sure what's going on exactly, but it has affected both my domains at different times.

Yes - I decided I didn't like it, but if you go to one of the other pages, there is a page background.
-
Thanks all! The background showed up as soon as I put in the missing #, but I will clean up the menu file code as well.
-
Thanks, Thomas!

Does that really affect anything?

That's how it looks when you view source, but here's what the code on the actual page looks like: ><!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd"> <html> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1"> <meta name="keywords" content="gryfalia,magic the gathering,german games,bloomington"> <meta name="description" content="Gryfalia's Aerie - The only place to come play in Bloomington/Normal"> <link href="asc.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css"> <title>Gryfalia's Aerie</title> </head> <body> <table width="98%" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0"> <tr> <td width="60%" valign="top"><div align="center"><img src="images/logo_brown_500_beigefinal.jpg" width="428" height="336"></div></td> <td width="40%" valign="middle"><div align="center"> <p> <!--#include virtual="menu.htm" --> </p> </div></td> </tr> </table> <p align="center"><strong><em>Bloomington/Normal's source for CCGs, minis, board games, and the finest German games.<br> In-store tournament space available.</em></strong></p> <table width="75%" border="0" align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"> <tr> <td><h3 align="center">Location</h3> <p align="center">Gryfalia's Aerie <br> 413 N Main<br> Bloomington, IL 61701 <br> 309-828-9196 </p></td> <td><h3 align="center">Hours</h3> <p align="center">Tues. - Thurs. 5pm - 9pm<br> Fri. 5pm - 10pm<br> Sat. 9am - 5pm<br> Closed Sun. and Mon.</p></td> </tr> </table> <p align="center"><font size="2"><a href="http://www.totalchoicehosting.com">Web Hosting with Total Choice Hosting </a></font></p> </body> </html> The include shows up as the actual page code when the source is viewed in production.

I did run it through the html validator on the web developers toolbar, but for some reason it didn't catch it. What do you see wrong with the code? The menu is a server side include....is that what you're talking about? I know purists are going to tell me I should do the site all in css, but I had to get it out quickly, and I'm still a noob when it comes to writing stylesheets from scratch.

I'm fairly sure that McDonalds one was overturned in appeal. Many stupid ones are, we just don't get to hear about them. Just keep a record of any contact you have from this guy, write down everything he says, times, etc. CYA is always the best policy.

URL: http://www.gryfaliasaerie.com Name: Gryfalia's Aerie Type: Commercial Description: Bloomington/Normal's source for CCGs, minis, board games, and the finest German games. Link to TCH is at the bottom of the main page. Thanks!

See! I knew it was some little thing I was overlooking! Thank you, Thomas - I can go to bed now.

OK, I'm hoping this turns out to be a dumb question because that will mean it's easy to fix. I am ready to pull my hair out. I'm working in Dreamweaver MX 2004, making a simple web page, but for some reason, no background colors are showing in Firefox. I first noticed when trying to set the bg color of a table, then tried it on the entire page and neither would show any color in preview or production in Firefox, but it will in IE. I don't think it's DW because I've checked the code, and hand-coded it, and the results are the same. I have a stylesheet attached, but it only controls the font and font color. Here's the link - http://www.gryfalia.com/aerie/index.shtml Note the cell with the location is the one with the bg color set. I'm just so confused....I've done countless pages using Firefox to preview and I've never had this issue come up before. I know FF and IE have their differences, but this is just a silly background color. What am I missing??

I work for a large insurance company's corporate offices in technical support. We create/update internal websites and various other projects in support of the other units in our department. In other words, I'm a peon. The stress comes and goes depending on workload, deadlines, and the mood of my boss, but overall it's not bad.

That was a really funny site. How neat that someone wants to write about it!
-
I think my record was about 12 hours playing EverQuest, but no way can I do that anymore (nor do I desire to). That's why I usually just solo or play with Ken so I don't have to attend a raid that last forever.

I'm game! My semi-noobness is at your disposal.
