So get it back so you can use what I've discovered! lol

My car popped its belt today. Got stuck on the side of a very, very busy intersection for a couple hours waiting for a tow truck to take me to the Saturn dealership. Not only that, the car's got to stay overnight, and I work at 7am... Until 11am, then I need to be clear across town (Vegas) in an hour after I get off of work. Gerh!

lol... Never used 'em.

Never mind. I got it: >php_value session.use_trans_sid 0 Used that in HTACCESS. Works like a charm!

Hey Raul. I'm back for a new round of PHP! Ok, so here's the thing. I've got sessions running on all my websites on every page load. My main site is OMGN. As you can see, it automatically appends the SID into any links. I did some looking around on the php.net website and found that it can be configured to turn off appending the ID and just using cookies to do the session management. I want to turn this off for a variety of reasons, but my top 2 are: 1) Security risks and oddities when users see those things. 2) Google can't accurately serve up advertisements on a page that has a session ID appended. How do I turn off the automatic appendation of the ID on links and tell it to use only cookies? The session.use_only_cookies variable controls it in php.ini, but I need to activate that variable for my website... It obviously isn't activated on TCH.

We've got mod_rewrite. Easy. Not sure on the downtime... I guess it depends on if they have CPanel.

I'd hate to see what problems I'd run into if I tried to change a couple of mine, haha...

Popunders are so devious...

We have a policy that username changes cannot occur unless they are vulgar or offensive in nature. Sorry. I can't find the thread that dealt with it...

Clarification On The Definition Of "adult Content"

Yeah. You're right. That is one of the drawbacks to the adult entertainment industry. That's why they get such a bad rap. I get sick of spam too. Ah, see, this ties in nicely to why this thread was even begun, if adult websites are legal here at TCH. Yup. As long as they don't spam, or do anything else illegal. -

Clarification On The Definition Of "adult Content"
DarqFlare replied to jahn's topic in Pre-Sales Questions
Well, I must admire that TCH will even host adult-oriented websites. It shows a commitment to the customer. It can't possibly be a commitment to the almighty dollar, because we all know how low TCH's prices are! Rock Sign Anyway... I tend to agree with he of the same name as I. Sure, moral decay must be kept in check. But then again, if moral decay was always kept in check, then we'd still have segregation. Women wouldn't have the right to vote. Remember, many usually think that "progress" as we would call it today (Civil rights, etc) is moral decay. When I have children, I sure do plan to make sure they "grow up right." But I don't want to limit someone else's right to speak their mind (Or express it visually, etc), because I don't want someone else to limit my ability to do so. Basically... I plan on teaching my children that sure, those things exist, but it isn't always the best idea to follow them. They can decide that for themselves when they're old enough and mature enough to (Are any of us, really? ;D)... But while they're children, I'll make sure to educate them as to what those things are, what I believe about them, and strongly urge them in the right direction. Let's face it. If a teenager wants to do something, they'll find a way to do it. I should know, I'm not too far removed from that age group (But I was good! Really! ). -
I've got both PHP and SHTML pages, just in case. There have been a few times that it didn't access the PHP and used the SHTML. I just have a META redirect in the SHTML pages that go to the PHP ones. Haha...

Clarification On The Definition Of "adult Content"
DarqFlare replied to jahn's topic in Pre-Sales Questions
This is an interesting, yet explosive subject. Basically, TCH allows the hosting of any legal website, if it contains adult material. If it is operating per the AUP and TOS, then it's all good. No spamming, remember that. We won't, however, add adult links to the Family pages on the site. And we won't allow links to adult websites in the Forums, either. {Edit} (My views do not neccessarily represent those of TCH) I'd like to add, I am a big proponent of free speech. This extends to the big debate about indencency on the radio. If you don't want to hear it, don't listen. Don't be so righteous that you bar others from listening to it. Let them listen. You don't have to. Same with adult websites. Even if you don't like it, someone else might. Let them enjoy the website, you don't have to concern yourself with it at all. -
Yeah, it works for me.. Odd.. Let us know if Lisa's works. If not, then you may want to put in a support ticket.
-
Hey Lisa, thanks for that. I do nightly backups as well, but didn't know you could GZIP it.
-
Hi, my name is Robert and I still use Microsoft Office. lol
-
That's how you would do it.
-
Given the volume of domains that TCH hosts, there's no possible way to upgrade all current customers at once. It will happen for each customer when it happens.
-
Welcome Annie!
-
Hey... that's cool!
-
lol@Rob... Welcome to the family!
