My Forum Disappeared, Where Do I Start
TCH-Bruce replied to clough's topic in CPanel and Site Maintenance
Welcome to the forums clough I've had issues with Firefox lately myself. You probably had a corrupt cookie and restarting the browser corrected it. Usually pressing CTRL + F5 together will clear your cache and get you going again. Other times you need to shutdown the browser and restart it. And even other times you need to totally reboot your machine. Glad it's sorted out for you. -

While I can't recommend a script I can recommend a place to look for one. Try hotscripts.com

How large are the images you are trying to upload and how are you trying to upload them? Are you using FTP?

I spoke with support and this is not an attack it is part of the cPanel proxy service.

I Googled for information. This is a documented bug in cPanel.

I'd open a ticket with the help desk. You can always turn it off in the .htaccess file. >php_flag register_globals off

Setup Canonical Domain Name For Seo
TCH-Bruce replied to polat's topic in CPanel and Site Maintenance
This should work if placed in "public_html" ><IfModule mod_rewrite.c> Options +FollowSymLinks RewriteEngine On RewriteBase / RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^www\.your-domain\.com$ RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://your-domain.com/$1 [R=301,L] </IfModule> -
I don't know if it's a hack attempt but I would ban the IP to block what ever it is from visiting the site any further.

Setup Canonical Domain Name For Seo

It would help if you showed us what you entered in the .htaccess file. -
I'm using WP version 2.8.6 and in the theme editor of that version this is what I see. All files for this theme are displayed and able to be edited (provided I change the permissions on the folder). It could be possible the theme you have is causing the problem. Which one is it?
-
Sounds like there is something wrong with your installation or your themes folder is messed up some how. I have 4 themes installed on my main blog. The "WP-Andreas09, "Wordpress Classic", "Wordpress Default", and "Tiga". There is a separate folder for each of those in my themes folder. Selecting the drop down list I can access any one of them.
-
Seems you don't have the correct theme selected in the editor. All themes have their own folders. Select which theme you want to edit (from the dropdown) and all files in the theme folder should appear in the list. I don't edit my files on the server, I do them on my PC and then upload them to the theme folder.

I was using 3 add-ons. Only one of them hasn't been updated and I can live without it. In fact I was ready to remove it before upgrading. It was a smiley insert add-on.
