No, that wouldn't work. But you can download the whole folder to a folder on your hard drive and zip it up. Then empty your public_html folder and upload the zip file to it and uncompress it using the File Manager in cPanel. Or you can open a ticket with the help desk and they can move the files for you.

That was going to be my other suggestion. To delete the account and try again. I always use the "@" instead of the "+" for my accounts.

Have you opened a ticket with the help desk? I've never had an issue connecting/sending emails through my domain with any address. But then again, I use a Windows PC and Thunderbird.
