  1. You need to change the "[" and "]" brackets to "" in the generated code for it to work. Hope that helps.

  4. While I agree something needs to be done to curb this stuff, Congress can't really do anything. The internet is global and most of the spam I receive is from offshore addresses. So since they can't be prosecuted here it will continue. Sad but true.
  5. Jennifer, I've been playing with the "width" on the tables. In fact I've removed them from these three pages. Would you be so kind as to look at them with Opera and Safari? www.pdabruce.com/index2.html www.pdabruce.com/autoexp2.htm www.pdabruce.com/autoexp2_man.htm I ran them through the validator at WDC and W3C and it didn't complain that the "width" was removed from the tag. I've looked at them with NS6, IE6 and Firebird and they weren't any different than before. Wondering it it will make a difference with the two you did screen captures with. Thanks again!
  6. Thanks Jennifer, any help you can offer would be appreciated.

  8. Robert, I get 300 to 400 emails a day at work. The majority of it (98%) is spam. I have found that using a program called K9 from keir.net/k9.html has all but eliminated me having to check any of the junk. It has to be trained as does Spam Assasin. I've been using it for 4 months now and couldn't be happier. It sits between your PC and the pop server and filters the mail as it's being retreived from the server.

  11. Jennifer, Thanks for the screen shots. This is my first attempt using CSS to control page content. The content to the right of the nav bar which is displaying correctly is in a table set to a width of 100% which on those browsers seem to be ignoring the 153px left nav bar. Any ideas how to correct it? I'm a novice when it comes to CSS and layout. Thanks for any ideas that you can provide.

  14. Your index file has no extension. Rename it index.html and it should be fine.
  15. OK, I've changed the look of www.pdabruce.com. I've tested it with IE6, Firebird and NS7 and there doesn't seem to be any problems. Site map has also been added.

  23. I read this in LockerGnome this week and it's for detecting if the site you get taken to is the site you expected to go to. Type the following in to your browser's address bar while on the site in question and it will report the actual URL for that site. I've created a link in my favorites and it works great.
  24. I've applied the patch to the two computers we have running XP and no ill effects.
