Even though you can install Office 2000 on many machines you are probably violating the EULA unless you bought multiple license copies. The software requires a separate license for each machine you install it too. Although you can skirt the issue and buy one copy and load it onto several machines does not mean it's the right thing to do. If you need multiple copies and do not wish to purchase the licenses to install them then you should look at Open Office which is Open Source and can be installed without a license.

If you forwarded all your spam to an email address for your domain you could set aging on the email address to do what you want.

Yes and no Don. If you have too many connections to your site at once can also be a problem.

You could forward to GMail without a problem currently but who knows that may change. If you have one particular address that is getting all the spam maybe you might think of deleting it and create a new one. Yes, I know this is a pain in the butt but sometimes it's unavoidable.
