WordPress is a blogging platform and creates RSS feeds for posts. There are several plugins for delivering podcasts using WordPress. I did a Google search. You might want to look at podPress.

Not sure, you may want to open a ticket with the help desk and have them take a look.

Normally you install into sub folders using Fantastico's installer. This is because Fantastico can install multiple packages to the same domain and they don't know if there would be conflicting file names.

Double check that all command lines are ending with a semi-colon in the script. Double check your paths, and be sure you are entering the correct variable information. Like your database name should be prefaced with your cpanelname_ as well as your database user name.

You should still be accessing the server using your domain name and not the server name or IP address. That was to be used for initial setup of your account before propagation.

Any FTP client should work. How are you trying to access the server? By IP address or your domain name? You would have better luck using your domain name.

If you wish to have other content in your web space besides your blog it should be installed into a subdomain or folder within the public_html folder. How did you install WordPress? Manually or through Fantastico? If manually just create a subdomain in cPanel and install a copy of WordPress into the folder you create when the subdomain is created. Then you can copy your themes and plugins to the wp-content folder of the new WordPress install. You can also copy the config file to the subdomain. You will need to make some changes in the admin for the new path to the blog.
