Regarding PHP 5.6, we do support PHP 5.4, PHP 5.5, PHP 5.6 and PHP 7.0 across all our shared and reseller servers. You can switch the php version of your site by logging into your cpanel and using the MultiPHP Manager on it.

I have edited the crontab entry which should resolve some of the issues that you are seeing. Checking the ini file, it looks like there are a lot of entries that actually are not needed. I would recommend that you delete off the ini file and create a new one using the cpanel - Multi PHP ini editor, and add only the needed parameters so that most of the unnecessary ones that could interfere with your script are removed. Once this is done, you will get a better idea of what the problem is and if there is something that needs to be checked server side, please open a ticket to our support department with all the details so that we can check it out. I have edited out the domain and user fields from your threads, as pasting them on an open forum is not recommended.

Scripts default to the php parameters including timezone as set on the server's php.ini config. If you set a local php.ini (this needs to be set via cpanel -> MultiPHP INI Editor), then the default values will be overridden by what is set on the local ini file.

I am sorry but we do not have this enabled on our servers yet as there are reports that it may cause issues some third party softwares. I cannot give you an ETA on whether it will be implemented or not as we prefer to have a robust server setup catering to a large population.

I have reviewed this and pushed further updates to the php configs including increasing the pre set memory_limit which should help you with the reported issue. Please test your accounts now.

This can happen if your scripts, plugins or themes need more memory than what is set as default on PHP configuration. To work around this, please log into cpanel - MultiPHP INI Editor. On the Basic Editor, select the domain from the drop down menu (this would set a local php.ini in your public_html directory) and change the memory_limit value to 128M. Click on Apply. This should resolve your issue. If the problem persists, please open a ticket to our desk with the cpanel logins as well as the wordpress admin logins so that we can check it out. That entry is set to get your account working on PHP 5.4. As you are aware, PHP upgrades were done across our shared servers, with PHP 5.6 as the new default, but we retained accounts that were on php 5.4 on the old configs to be the same. You are more than welcome to change that to PHP 5.6 provided you ensure your plugins and themes support it and that your wordpress is on the latest version. There is a tool on cpanel - MultiPHP Manager - which can be used to switch between versions.

Performance will depend on which VPS you are signing up and the content of your sites that will be hosted on the vps server. Our shared servers are huge builds with plenty of RAM and processor cores. To host 15 domains, I would recommend that you go for the gold plan.

VPS and reseller servers create the accounts in the very same way. If you are maintaining separate accounts and not just creating addon accounts (which creates accounts inside the main one), then the possibility of a hacker getting in to one account and traversing to others is very unlikely. It really depends on how the accounts are setup, whether they are all updated and secured, passwords are strong and frequently rotated etc.

Correct. There are no differences in the hosting part. With a VPS server, you get more control of the server, like SSH access, php versions, modules or other configurations that cannot be accomodated on a shared hosting environment, IP whitelists etc. In general terms, you can get it customized to your needs. We will be taking care of server side security. But we always recommend that the server owner is knowledgeable on cpanel / whm etc. Keeping accounts and code updated, secured and backups are entirely on the server owner. As mentioned on question 2, it is almost the same, except that you get more control over the server. Let me know if you have further questions
