Normally xampp is to be installed from the root of your hard drive like c:\xampp did you really install it under your program files folder?

Jayson did you use the batch file to start apache first and put your files in the folder you created below C:\xampp\htdocs\ ( or whatever drive you installed on ) and then pointed your browser to http:/localhost/folder_name/ ?

Dave I use a folder below htdocs for each site I work on.
