  1. I just came across a Nvu User Guide it looks like a good way for beginners to get started with Nvu.
  2. Cool idea Don
  3. I followed the link from my.opera.com/community/party/ You still need to submit an e-mail addy.
  4. Welcome to the forums, Manfred You are lucky that your ISP lets you run php most just give you plain web space. Mine won't even let me use ftp with my included web space, so I do not even use it. Of course no biggy since I have all the features I need here.
  5. Odd I did not get an e-mail but the page I was redirected to after giving my e-mail addy had codes for all the different operating systems. The codes were blank so I hit refresh and there they were
  6. Thanks! I did not see any registration codes at first so I hit refresh and there they were

  10. Welcome to the forums Heidi If you are hosted here You can use an ftp program or your cpanel's file manager to upload to a folder inside your public_html folder If you are hosted some where else check with your host to see where public files go. With ftp navigate to the file on your computer in the local window and to the desired folder on your site in the remote window drag the file from the local window to the remote window. with file manager, click the folder icons to go inside the public_html folder and continue to the desired folder then select upload file, browse to the pdf file and select upload. Then you can link to it for others to view or download. Hope this helps.
  11. Welcome to the forums hyukta Sometimes the e-mail responses can get lost in spam folders, but you can always go back to the help desk to look at your ticket. Good luck
  12. Welcome to the forums, xXAlmightyBobXx They are right, almost all ISp's forbid hosting a home server through them and if found out will terminate your account. Good luck with whichever route you go.

    If you want to send me the PSD file I can take a look to see if what I am thinking of will work.
  15. You are welcome James Glad you got it the way you want.
  16. If you click the ? in the tool bar you find the help file. Click the standard folder icon to open your file select each frame one at a time and go to the image tab be sure transparency is checked click on the transparency color box select the background color from the palette go to the next frame and repeat then use the save as icon to save a new file.
  17. You will need an animation program that can modify a GIF file and select the background to be transparent Like PSP or Photoshop Microsoft GIF Animator is free rather simple and hard to find but here is one place http://www.freewareweb.com/cgi-bin/archive.cgi?download=1&ID=288
  18. look in includes/page_header.php around line 346 $template->assign_vars(array( 'SITENAME' => $board_config['sitename'], 'SITE_DESCRIPTION' => $board_config['site_desc'], 'PAGE_TITLE' => $page_title, 'LAST_VISIT_DATE' => sprintf($lang['You_last_visit'], $s_last_visit), 'CURRENT_TIME' => sprintf($lang['Current_time'], but I would be very careful modifying template files.
  19. Or if phpbb language/lang_english/lang_main.php

    Ok if the text text is done using text tool then try effects for that layer drop shadow distance 0 blur about 4 or so intensity up a lot color black this will produce a black halo don't blur too much. This way you can keep the light text color.
