Do I need to have a domain name at the time I purchase a hosting plan? I am ready to purchase a plan, but have not decided on a domain name yet.

Yes, you will need to choose your domain name on signup, I would think.

IIRC one of the questions when you sign up is what your domain name is.

Yes, it will ask when you sign up what domain name you intend to use. However, you will have access to the site without a domain name; and should you end up with a different one it would be a simple help desk ticket to change it.

 

Nonetheless, it is much easier to know beforehand; and it can be competitive to get a domain name, so give it some thought.

Quite related. When signing up pick a domain that you want to use and we can get the account created, then when you decide what it is going to be you can let us know if there are any changes and we will fix it.
