danceswithscissors Posted March 25, 2004 Posted March 25, 2004 The Good: It used to be .. back in the good old days when I spent way too much time fighting with other web hosts .... I would be into my account weekly to fix what they kept breaking. Now that I'm using TCH for all my domains, I don't have to do that. The Bad: Because of the way TCH runs it's servers I never have to worry about anything, which means I've had to actually write down user names, account numbers, and passwords. The Ugly: Remembering where I wrote the info down Thanks TCH! (I think) Quote
DarqFlare Posted March 25, 2004 Posted March 25, 2004 lol... I never thought of TCH offering "drawbacks" of that type... heh. Quote
TCH-Don Posted March 25, 2004 Posted March 25, 2004 (edited) Welcome to the family danceswithscissors LOL yup, I have forgotten a few skills I used to have too before I moved here, like re-uploading my whole site every so often when it dissapeared, and explaining why the the site was not there. Oh well, more time to work on the site now hey! As to remembering the user names and passwords, I use Any Password (link on the help site, under freebies). Edited March 25, 2004 by TCH-Don Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted March 25, 2004 Posted March 25, 2004 (edited) Welcome to the family, danceswithscissors! We're glad you could come and join us! Edited March 25, 2004 by TCH-Bruce Quote
ThumpAZ Posted March 25, 2004 Posted March 25, 2004 Yeah, what Bruce said... Welcome to the family. Go and get your formal welcome wagon post in the Introductions forum As for your problems... if those are the only problems you have, then you should be well off in your mental state. I, too, have forgotten several of the things I got used to doing on a near-daily basis with other hosts. But it has given me time to start learning php more intimately. Go out, young person, and find a new hobby You've got the time to do that now Quote
danceswithscissors Posted March 26, 2004 Author Posted March 26, 2004 The Saga Continues ...... .... and when you're absolutely sure you've written down the correct information, and you're absolutely sure you remember where you stored it for safe keeping ..... attempt to log into your account, discover that you can't, panic, calm down, email TCH for help .. and have Andy tell you what the CORRECT information really is. Thanks Andy, you're a saint! Quote
TCH-Andy Posted March 26, 2004 Posted March 26, 2004 You're welcome Welcome to the family, as you've already found out - any problems, just ask Quote
