erisande Posted March 23, 2004 Posted March 23, 2004 Is it possible to have a different domain name as the base on my account? Example: When I made the account, I defined it with www.bad.com. Now that I have relaized my error in judgement, I want to switch out with a different domain name of www.good.com. I believe if this can be done, then all I would have to do after that is to change the domain server names on the www.good.account to point to TCH. The www.bad.com account will just hang out in the ether, eh? Thanks for any help you can provide! EDITED: Sorry, I have no clue why I posted this here. I must've been reading something in this forum. Could a moderator please move it to an appropriate area? Quote
DarqFlare Posted March 23, 2004 Posted March 23, 2004 Put in a support ticket and we'll handle it! Quote
erisande Posted March 23, 2004 Author Posted March 23, 2004 Ticket sent... Thanks for the move and VERY fast reply! I think you answered me before I could send the message! I am glad my friend pointed me to TCH, I am happy to be here. Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted March 23, 2004 Posted March 23, 2004 Welcome to the family, erisande! We're happy you like your new home. Quote
erisande Posted March 23, 2004 Author Posted March 23, 2004 I have sent in the ticket, and prepared for the changes of DNSs. Soon things shall be put right again! YAY! Now all TCH needs to do is incorporate "rollover bandwidth". *LAUGH* as if I will ever use as much as I currently have... Quote
erisande Posted March 24, 2004 Author Posted March 24, 2004 Well, TCH is in process of helping me with my first post, so cool! I can't wait until it happens! Also, using the same example from above, could I get www.bad.com parked onto www.good.com? I can't seem to park it myself with CPanel. I figured I would just put it there for the time being. Quote
TCH-Rick Posted March 24, 2004 Posted March 24, 2004 Submit a ticket and we can park the domain. Please mentione that the domain you are parking was the original domain for the account as there are separate steps that must be taken to park the domain. Quote
erisande Posted March 24, 2004 Author Posted March 24, 2004 I am so glad I get such fast responses! I can't believe I didn't do it all correctly the first time. Arg. Quote
Pocketman Posted February 17, 2006 Posted February 17, 2006 (edited) I currently have pocketman.com hosted at TCH, with pocketman.ws parked. I want to switch the domain names so that the primary domain is pocketman.ws, with pocketman.com parked. If I understand the above posts, I should submit a ticket to technical support to get this accomplished? The tech people have been very responsive to my past needs, but I don't want to bother them for something I can or should do through another means. Thanks Edited February 17, 2006 by Pocketman Quote
TCH-Rob Posted February 17, 2006 Posted February 17, 2006 Nope, nothing to be done through the forums. Ticket is the way to go. Quote
