ugh!!!!!!!!!! my alarm went off at midnight the one and only night iw ent to bed early and was asleep LOL wouldnt you just know it! I raced to turn it off, turn out my cats knocked a chair over causing my recycling thing to tip over so the floor was covered in bottles and plastic containersetc.. i cleaned it up turned the alarm back on crawled into bed. well wouldnt you know it im back asleep and my phone rings i told them im fine it was an accident and went back to sleep.. just then im drifting back to sleep and all the lights start shinning into my dang windows. UGH cops all over im like GRRRRRRRRRRRRR so i try to make it to the door before they ring the bell but nope. so im all tired in my jammies and i told them "we are fine my son is sleeping please turn off your lights etc.."

the cop said are you sure u arent being told to say that ugh! no im fine i want to go back to bed... i said "no we are fine please i dont want my son to wake up" he was asking me could i say what happened blahblahblah.. ugh All because they have on file that i've been stalked in the past by my ex etc am I sure he isn't there bothering me. I said "im pretty sure he isn't because he is in jail" the cop laughed and said okay well if you need anything just press the silent alarm panic button. ugh took them 30 more minutes of nosing around outside with their bright lights. i finally got back to sleep at 1am to be woken again by high winds knocking over some power lines, sirens etc ugh! could I be any more tired today? I have to revamp my entire website on http://dollicious.com because it's time for a face lift and my yearly spring cleaning. Was gonna start tonight try to finish this weekend but instead im going to rest, relax, and spend some quality couch snoozing time with my son while he watches cartoons and plays with toys! I renewed my domain names at godaddy.com yesterday and i realized i have a few more months before i have to renew with totalchoice so im going to treat myself to another year of totalchoice hosting before thats up at my birthday present to myself. Ok so enough rambling.. How is everyone else? How much sleep do you guys/gals usually get? Ever had the cops respond to an alarm late at night at your place? well at least i know they are doing their job and would be there if something bad really did happen!

5-8 hours sleep for me.

Well as you say its good that they do their job.

I should not say too much but its pretty often here in the papers that the swedish police aint doing their job. They say they are understaffed and so on... Im not sure if it is that cause pretty often we also read that they mess up the bad guys and that they have time for. <_ .>

Usually 4-7 hours a night for me during the week. I try to sleep alot more on the weekends if possible. Never had the cops come to my place at night, but we used to have a guy two or three houses down who would stop taking his medecine and would call the ambulence at all hours two or three times a month. After a few rounds of that, they started charging him for every call (evidentally his insurance refused to pay anymore). I don't know if he moved or went broke, but we rarely have any sirens on our street.

I do have one very obnoxious neighbor across the street and two doors down I wish they'd haul away, but that's another story.

4-6 hours is good for me. I'm a morning person so no matter what time I get to bed, I'm wide awake and rarin' to go around 6am.

Sleep in? Whassat??? :)

Relax and have a good restful weekend, Laura! :)

Hearing someone else's music is one of my biggest pet peeves. If I have thumping bass going through my house, day or night, I do not tolerate it. If they won't voluntarily turn it down, I just call the cops and be done with it.

There is no consideration for others in this world anymore.

<gets down off her soap box> :(

I typically get 3-5 hours a day... whenever I can. But lately I have just crashed and have been sleeping every hour I am not required to be somewhere.

I never had the cops come to my house, but I can relate a similar funny story to ya...

Started working for a new company and was asked what I would like my alarm code set for. I told them one that was usefull to me, and it was set up.

The boss (owner) tested it to make sure it worked properly, and all seemed well.

About 3 minutes later we were all standing around in the front office yacking and such. Suddenly there were cop cars all around the building and three officers with guns drawn coming in through the front door. You shoulda seen the look on all our faces when they burst in! 6 of us and three of them staring each other down (us shaking, them beads drawn with their weapons).

Turns out, the code I had selected was the silent duress code, armed holdup, for the system! This means that there is no welfare call from the monitoring station, there is no friendly officer coming to check things out, there is, however, someone in mortal danger. They were responding to a silent holdup and expected to have someone with a gun after us!

After they checked around and made sure was all OK, we all had a good laugh... and I selected another alarm code.

What makes this all the more funny is that part of our business is Access Control and Security... we ARE the alarm company! And the Owner is the one who entered that code! Makes me feel just that much safer... NOT!

Now, Laura... go get some rest and enjoy your son while you can

it was pretty decent. You know from pretty early on who the bad guy is which takes part of the fun out of it but it was okay .. I wouldnt give it any awards or anything but something to watch
