Alan Posted February 11, 2004 Posted February 11, 2004 Hey, Yet Another Question! My cPanel keeps giving me a Bold "Please update your contact info Here" I update it, and it stays the same, any reason why it could be needing me to update it? Or should I just submit a ticket? Quote
!!blue Posted February 11, 2004 Posted February 11, 2004 that's always there; I don't think there's a way to get rid of it. It's prolly there for quick access. Quote
Alan Posted February 11, 2004 Author Posted February 11, 2004 Woops lol, I been a member since January, with well over 100 Logins to my cPanels, I must have not been paying attention to the welcome thing, I never noticed it. Thanks! -Alan Quote
TCH-Andy Posted February 11, 2004 Posted February 11, 2004 Hi, The check and message is part of a resent cpanel upgrade. Just click on the word "here" underneath, and you will be prompted for your email address. If you forget your password in the future, you can reset it yourself via this email address. Quote
TCH-Thomas Posted February 11, 2004 Posted February 11, 2004 (edited) Might be a little stupid question but... If you forget your password in the future, you can reset it yourself via this email address.Since i need the password to even log in to thatPlease update your contact info Here How can i then use that to reset my password? TCH-Rick Posted February 11, 2004 Posted February 11, 2004 If you enter the wrong password three times you will get an Access Denied message and a link to reset the password. If you have a contact email set up it will email a link to that address where you can reset the password. It will give you a temporary password and you can then log into CPanel and change it. Quote
TCH-Thomas Posted February 11, 2004 Posted February 11, 2004 Oh ok. I never did that. Thanks Rick Quote
DarqFlare Posted February 11, 2004 Posted February 11, 2004 Hey Rick, it gave me that after one unentered password... Then again, I didn't neccessarily get it wrong, I just clicked cancel, so that does the same thing. Just bringing this to the attention of the users, so they can just click cancel rather than try to login three times in a row. Quote
