Young Posted January 15, 2004 Posted January 15, 2004 I am thinking about switching web host with Totalchoice.. but before I make the final decision.. I need to know which Operating System Totalchoice web servers runs under. For my CGI application to work.. I need web server OS to be Linux 7.x or above.. on a x86 processor and ability to change the permission level for the files that I upload. Any information will be greatly appreciated. Quote
TCH-Dick Posted January 15, 2004 Posted January 15, 2004 All of our servers run red hat linux 7.x or better, All of our servers are x86 (most dual and quad P4's) /you can change permissions via file manager or an ftp program. Quote
Lianna Posted January 15, 2004 Posted January 15, 2004 (edited) Red Hat Linux 7.3 All new accounts are provisioned on our DELL Quad Processor 2.4GHz Intel Xeon Servers. You may change permissions to any file that you upload into your account. Good luck with your decision making! edit: DOH! Mike beat me. Edited January 15, 2004 by TCH-Lianna Quote
DarqFlare Posted January 15, 2004 Posted January 15, 2004 I would just like to come in here and repeat what they said. lol  Quote
Lianna Posted January 15, 2004 Posted January 15, 2004 Too funny! You may also have noticed that there were 20 minutes of time passing between Mike's post and mine. Well, let's do some math: 177 typed letters (not including spaces) in 20 minutes means 8.85 letters per minute which means I'll be dead before I finish spelling my name....Li a n n a Quote

I can type much faster than those others. I started typing this just after you posted your first question. Seriously, welcome home. If you have questions be sure to ask yesterday. Quote
