Hi everyone.

I just changed the layout to my site yesturday. When I uploaded it everything was fun and it showed up and all but now when I go to my website it pulls up the old layout. I logged into cpanel and all the files that I uploaded are there and the html for the new layout is there but for some reason it's not showing up when you go to the actually site.

So is anyone else having this problem or is it just me?

Thanks,

Laney

Is it a propogation problem?

I see that you are new here, at least to the forums (Welcome!).

Did you move your site here or pick up a new domain name recently?

If you post the URL, and give a quick description (old vs. new) we can check it for you.

No, I've had the site here for awhile now. I just updated it yesturday, well the layout, for the first time in like a few months. It's in the www/ folder with all the other files. If I look at the html code in the online file manager for the index page it is the code that I wrote for the new layout but when I go to veiw the page it shows the old one.

Thanks,

Laney

PS- I'm not on my normal computer, I'm actually on one that I've never used before so it is not the cache either.

Hi,

Moved.

What is the new layout then? Is it possible that you have renamed something incorrectly or using caps like Me.jpg when you actually mean me.JPG etc?

If you are still stuck, send us a support ticket and we shall take a look.

I can confirm this is not a server 6 problem

No it's not any thing like that. I mean if you long on to CPanel and then go into file manager you can see all the new code and all the new files but for some reason they are not loading up. I'll try submitting a help ticket later. I have to get going now. Thanks for the help though!

Thanks,

Hi,

Ricks taken a look at this. What has been happening is that you have been uploading everything into the root folder. The internet can not see your root folder for security reasons. You need to upload it all in to your public_html folder for it to work.

Thank Rick for this, I am just the messenger!
