Head Guru Posted October 6, 2003 Posted October 6, 2003 Effective Monday October 6, 2003 the following changes to the backup policy will take effect. We will no longer be offering client requested restorable daily backups. The only daily backups will be offsite backups and will only be available for mass restore. eg; server restore! Do not take this as there are no more daily backups. That would be a incorrect assumption. We are simply doing away with the client restorable daily backups, but will continue to run the daily backups to our offsite backup servers. We of course will still be offering Weekly and Monthly Backups, and the policy will not change on the client requested restores from Weekly or Monthly backups. This being that clients can request restores from week end or month end backups. Frankly there has been no demand for client requested restorable daily backups and since running 2X (offsite and local) daily backups place such a high load on the servers, the benefits of not offering client restorable daily backups is to greatly reduce servers loads Thanks for your time and continued support.
DarqFlare Posted October 6, 2003 Posted October 6, 2003 It's still alright if we have our own cron job that backs our DB up, isn't it?
