Hi all,

In Cpanel I see the autoconfiguration for outlook express, but can I use netscape (7.1) instead?

P.S By the way, how long do I need to be a newbie as stated to the left? <_>

You can use almost any email client available.

However, the only auto config option is for outlook express.

Personally, I use PM MAIL 2000.

You will just need to manually set up your email client.

Thomas, the "newbie" thing is from this forum software. The title that appears under your nickname is a rank you get from your number of posts. If you want to get a higher ranking, you need to have more posts. When your post count reaches a determined number, it will automatically "upgrade" your rank

Thomas (who is not a newbie),

for netscape,

The default account user name (your cpanel name) is

cpanelname

but for other accounts that you create it is

name@yoursite.com

the server name is mail.yoursite.com

I recommend that in your Netsape 7.1 that you only specify the pop3 (incoming) setting to mail.****** and not change the smtp setting as Netscape does not like that and will do evil things.
