karlfranz Posted August 12, 2003 Posted August 12, 2003 If you know me,you should also know my problem. After the changing of ISP,I have no problem to see upgrades of my site, that's great indeed! But troubles always follow me ,I found I can't see upgrades of a few sites! e.g. I can't see updated news. What's the problem? Quote
TCH-JimE Posted August 12, 2003 Posted August 12, 2003 karlfranz, Please post a link to page and tell us what should be present please Jim Quote
karlfranz Posted August 12, 2003 Author Posted August 12, 2003 OK,the URL is http://vboy.emuhq.com/downloads.shtml ,it is a GameBoy Advance Emulator site, the lastest version should be 1.6,but I can only see 1.5.1. Quote
TCH-JimE Posted August 12, 2003 Posted August 12, 2003 Hi, 1.6 is indeed working. Have you tried clearing out the cache of your browser and forcing it to reload the page? If so, I am guessing your ISP needs to clean up its own cache Jim Quote
karlfranz Posted August 12, 2003 Author Posted August 12, 2003 Indeed I have already cleaned the tmp dir and refresh the page, but nothing is helped. Quote
departu Posted August 12, 2003 Posted August 12, 2003 Hi, just had a look and it loads 1.6 from where I sit. Have you forced reload by ctl reload or shift reload. Cheers M Quote
TCH-Sales Posted August 12, 2003 Posted August 12, 2003 It's also working for me, but what concerns me more is your sitting on the fence of an AUP violation. Make sure that you don't promote or start putting up ROMs or anything of that sort! Quote
Virtual Imager Posted August 12, 2003 Posted August 12, 2003 Sounds similair to the problem I posted yesterday about not being able to see the grpahics on my index page when everyone else could.... but for me it was (and still is) only when I went there via a link in an email using Outlook Express. The link from my desktop, from the forum page, and even from an email to myself at hotmail all work. Have you tried going there from your posted link on this forum.... the one that is working for all the rest of us? If that works for you, then you and I are probably having the same problem and if you get it solved I'd like to know how. I'm completely stumped by it. Quote
Virtual Imager Posted August 12, 2003 Posted August 12, 2003 I did find a clue... if i type the url with a forward slash at the end of it when I email the link, I get taken to the right page - the updated one. I don't know if this is a cache problem, an Outlook Express problem, an IE problem, a TCH problem or an ISP problem, but entering the forward slash in the URL seems to solve it. Quote
