jaben Posted August 5, 2003 Posted August 5, 2003 I have installed my own copy of Squirrelmail and need to install a plugin to enable password change by users. So I go to http://www.squirrelmail.org/plugins_catego...p?category_id=5 Which one of these goes with TCH's mail server setup ? Quote
TCH-Sales Posted August 5, 2003 Posted August 5, 2003 You won't be able to change the pre-installed SquirrelMail package on your account provided by us. Any changes to that would have to be done by us, and then done to the whole server as well. So if you want to set up a diffrent SquirrelMail, go ahead and through doing that you should be able to figure out which plugin to use. Have a nice day! Quote

Hi Mitch, I have my own copy of Squirrelmail installed for some time already, so adding plugins is generally no problem. The new plugin I need is for users to change their own Squirrelmail password. It can be downloaded from http://www.squirrelmail.org/plugins.php I need to know what TCH use as to store passwords - in password files, in an LDAP server etc. There are quite a few options like PAM, Courier, SASL. I just do not know which applies to the server I am on. Please help. Quote
jaben Posted August 8, 2003 Author Posted August 8, 2003 No help from anyone ? TCH support staff ? This is quite disappointing . . . Quote
leezard Posted August 8, 2003 Posted August 8, 2003 well I'm not a support guru but I'm pretty sure it isnt ldap, there was talk of implemeting an ldap server before. I know its not much help but maybe it can at least help narrow the choices down. Quote
Larry Posted August 8, 2003 Posted August 8, 2003 and if i remember correctly totalchoice uses redhat for thier linux distro.. which uses pam by default.. Quote
