Mrs. Muddled
I have been looking at several sites that offer downloads of TV series episodes and movies etc. I know nothing about these sites other than what they say about themselves. Have you subscribed to one of these sites? What is your experience? What did it cost you? They don't list the costs and I have little doubt that there are plenty. fasttvdownloads.com is one that seems to be highly rated. Thanks!
TCH-Thomas
I don´t know much about downloading these kind of things, but remember that music, videos, tv shows and so on are almost always copyright protected.
mr_lucas
It is not wise to go with this type of site all they do is give you a program and tell you how to use it. these type of programs you can get for free and with a little bit of reading you can learn to use them. plus it says on it's site The purchase of a membership, however, is not a license to upload or download copyrighted material. We urge you to respect copyright and share responsibly. Click here for info on using p2p which means we will give you a peer to peer program and you can illegal acts all you want Not good not good at all Edited January 16, 2007 by mr_lucas

There are sites where it is legal and safe to download TV series and movies. Namely, the iTunes Music Store. www.apple.com/itunes

Namely, the iTunes Music Store. www.apple.com/itunesDo you use this Apple program? I'm not interested in downloading movies or music. I just want to know more about downloading my favourite TV series when I miss an episode. I'm hoping someone on the forum who actually does this will spot my post. I'm not remotely interested in doing something that is illegal or questionable. Thanks for your post!
TCH-Dick
The first thing you should do is visit the sites for your favorite shows. Most popular tv series provide some episodes on their site or let you know where to legally download them. I personally prefer recording them to my DVR for free and watching them at my leisure. I haven't actually purchased a television progam yet, because there aren't any that I'm interested in (not really a TV guy...), but I love iTunes. It is 100% legal and works great. And its easy. We travel a lot. I can only record 6 hours of TV while we're gone. I've just got the old fashioned video machine.
TCH-Bruce
I personally prefer recording them to my DVR for free and watching them at my leisure. Same here. If you have cable you can rent a DVR with your service. If you have satellite get a TIVO unit or a DVR from any manufacturer. You can record up to 40 hours minimum with most units. And they don't cost much more than a mid-range DVD player.
