cauelt Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 Hello! I'm having a problem when I configure the e-mail Default Adress in the cPanel to my Gmail account. The e-mails simply don't come to my inbox in gmail account. But when I configure the Default Adress to a Yahoo account, all e-mails that I send come to the yahoo inbox. What can be happening? This Family Forum is very good! It was the main reason that I choose the TCH!! (sorry my horrible english). Caueh Quote
TCH-JimE Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 Hello Caueh, Welomce to the forums. Are they ending up in a junk email account on your gmail account server? JimE Quote
cauelt Posted June 8, 2006 Author Posted June 8, 2006 Hello Caueh, Welomce to the forums. Are they ending up in a junk email account on your gmail account server? JimE Hello Jime! Thanks for the post, but I think that I discover what's wrong. I don't know why, but when I send an e-mail from my gmail account, the TCH e-mail redirect do not redirect the e-mail back to my gmail, but when I send the e-mail from another account (another email host or another gmail account), I get the e-mail in my gmail account. (sorry my horrible english again). My text is understandable? Caueh Quote
TCH-JimE Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 Hello, I believe what your trying to say is that if you email yourself from your gmail account, that is: gmail (own) -> TCH (own) It does not complete the trip of: gmail (own) -> TCH (own) -> gmail (own) However, it should and does work if anybody does this: anybody email -> TCH (own) -> gmail Correct? If so, I am not sure why, but I am glad you have found the cause and I hope its not much a problem for you JimE Quote

When I send the e-mail from my own gmail account, the TCH don't redirect it back to my own gmail account. But it is not a big problem. If I need to say something to myself, I will use a letter Thanks for the help! Caueh Quote
GvilleRick Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 If you send through your Gmail account to an account that forwards to the GMail account it will fail. I have seen that before when testing for a similar problem. I suspect that it is due to GMail refusing the mail to prevent looping. Quote
abinidi Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 Caueh, Welcome to the TCH forums. Glad you got the answer you were looking for. If you need help in the future, don't be afraid to ask! GvilleRick, Welcome to the TCH forums!! Thanks for your input! Quote
Deverill Posted June 9, 2006 Posted June 9, 2006 As an alternative you can just email to yourself at gmail. I use my gmail account to email myself notes at that same address all the time. Quote
