I set up a subdomain yesterday, and it worked just fine. I set it up to redirect to my Horde webmail page. When I tried to redirect it again today, I get the following error message:

Error: while opening /home/mysite/public_html/webmail/.htaccess

Could I have set it up wrong? How can I make it work now?

Chad,

Either you have:

I) Set something wrong in the .htaccess file or its missing

II) Set up the redriect wrongly

III) Some else.

If your not sure, submit a help ticket and we shall have a look!

I figured out what is happening, but I don't know how to fix it. I am using Frontpage 2002 to publish my web site, and every time I publish, Frontpage deletes my subdomain folder. I haven't yet found a setting in Frontpage to stop this. Any ideas?

There is a nice javascript webmail interface that does what you want on the TCH Help Page. I set up a subdomain and installed this in it. I then enter it using webmail.****. If you add it to your Front Page website it may eliminate the problem. Sorry I can't help much more but I'm not a big fan of FrontPage. I do plan to work with it a bit more this summer.

I have run into the same problem & have found that if i go to control panel delete & reinstall the subdomains all is fine its a pain if u keep making changes to your page but till someone can come up with something better it will work.
