  1. Twice in the past 2 or 3 weeks, my wife has had all of the email in her inbox disappear. She uses Squirrel mail to check her email and nothing else. I did check Outlook and Outlook Express to make sure, and none of her email is in there. Is there some sort of new setting that purges email from the inbox? I have never had this happen to my email account, but I also don't keep email in my inbox normally. Thanks, Chad
  2. Is it possible to install the squirrelmail addon that allows importing of addresses? I know this has been discussed here before, but I don't know what become of it. If that is not an option, then I would like to know if anyone has successfully installed squirrelmail with the address import addon. I installed squirrelmail and the addon today, and everything appears to work, except when I click on the "IMPORT" button I get an error message telling me that I didn't type in a file to import, which I did.
  3. I had an email rejected by a Road Runner email account, even though I've sent email to the same address recently. The reason given for the refusal is included below. I've never had this type of problem before, and I certainly don't send out spam, so I'm hoping there is a solution for this.
  4. I could be wrong, but it seems like I've seen errors like this before when I had extra unnecessary space at the bottom of one or more of my php include files. I don't know how the extra spaces get there, but I've seen it many times.
  5. OK, I figured it out.... and it does work in IE and Firebird. Below is a very simple example of how it can be done if your calendars are images. Note: the code below requires jan.gif and feb.gif to work correctly.
  6. Are the calendars text or image? If they are image calendars then I believe you could just use the "onclick" event to assign a new image source for each of the different calendars. I've done it before playing around, but I don't remember off the top of my head how to do it - and I don't know if it works on all browsers. I could do a little more research if this sounds useful.
  7. It's 6:20am here in Texas. The day is just getting started.
  8. docamit, Hey, that great! I'm glad I could help. It's not very often that I can offer advice - usually it's the other way around!
  9. Congratulations! We have 2 girls similar in age to your 2 girls. Our youngest is 4 months old now. Isn't it wonderful to have a website to show off your family?! Thanks for sharing.
  10. I remember seeing this from when I was using Frontpage a few months ago. The error did not effect how my form operated after publishing it to the web. I think the error is just telling you that it won't operate correctly on your home computer since you're not on a server. Try publishing it and see how it works.

Well that explains it. I was getting so frustrated because everytime I would get something to work in IE, it would fall apart in Firebird - and vice versa. But all of my CSS struggles have paid off in the end because I learned a lot and I got it working exactly how I wanted it - with help from you and Jack of course. Thanks again!
  12. TCH is the first hosting company that I've used and I am very pleased with my experience so far. I've had few problems and the problems I have had have been quickly addressed. I have also learned a WHOLE lot by keeping up with the forums. My site design skills have improved immensely due to all the great advice given on the forums. It's wonderful to have a place where you can always go to get an answer (or at least get pointed in the right direction). I am very surprised when I read a negative comment about TCH because I can't imagine a better hosting experience. I wouldn't call ho
  13. It seems a little futile to try to get people to change their habits. Most people that I know who forward emails aren't that computer literate and don't really worry about viruses - until they get hit. I've been pretty fortunate and have only been very minimally effected by the latest rash of email viruses. I use my yahoo account for most things and my personal email is kept very private. And of course I never open an attachment.

Thanks for all the help. I ended up getting it work exactly how I wanted it, but I basically had to start over and re-think it. Jimuni - your method looked promising, but it started falling apart when I tried customizing it (like adding borders). But I did learn from your code and I was able to use it to help me come up with my final design. I won't get into all the details, but I'll post the code I ended up using in case anyone is interested. (remember you must have the background image for it display correctly - I'll attach it to this message)

Jimuni, At a first glance, this looks just like what I need! Thanks a lot! When I have time I'll plug it into my code and see if it works. I'll let you know. -Chad

    Need Css Help

Jack, I have looked through your recommended links - some of which I had already been to - but they don't cover my particular design problem. What I am doing differently than all of these is I am centering my page in the browser window. My page width is fixed, but my page height is variable - since my main body content changes depending on which page I'm on. Any other suggestions? Also, as far as the problem with Opera, it is a simple fix and I believe it works fine in its original form. This is just a scaled-down version without all of my content. But my main concern is adding a
  17. OK, I've been beating my head up against the CSS wall (again!), and I've finally got my web site layout how I want it - with one exception. I can't figure out how to add a footer to the bottom of the page. My web site is a personal site, so I don't want to post it here. But I have created a simple page using the same layout and I have posted it below. Surely someone has been down this road before. (I just noticed something: you obviously don't have the file "sidebar3.jpg". It is just a background image that gives my navbar a different color. I'll attach it if it helps.)
  18. After playing around with Xoops some more, I decided that I could never be too happy with any of the CMS scripts. I just don't like being so confined. It's kind of like how I started out using Frontpage, but I had to abandon it after a very short period of time because it limits you so much. Well I decided that all I really needed anyway was an easier way to add content to my site. It took about 2 days, but I managed to convert my site to a PHP/MySQL database driven site, with an interface script for adding content - and it wasn't that hard. I was even also able to keep my original sit
  19. Almost all of my 404 errors seem to be image files used by my Gallery script. And it looks like Gallery is also using mod rewrites in the .htaccess file. So it seems that Gallery is causing all of my problems, but the weird thing is that I never have any problems when I browse the site and no one has ever reported any problems to me. I don't have heavy traffic - it's just a family website - which is why I thought the number of errors seemed excessive. Maybe I should just not worry about it.
  20. My AWSTATS report for this month shows 121 of the 404(Doc Not Found) and 91 of the 301(Moved Permanently) error codes. I have gone through my site page by page and can't find any broken links. Is this typical to have so many errors? And I have no idea what the 301s are. I am not redirecting anything on my site, unless my Gallery script is doing something I'm not aware of.
  21. I'd like to add that my opinions on Mambo and Xoops are based on very limited experience. Others with more extensive knowledge could probably offer better advice. I just felt like I should throw in my opinion since I just installed both Mambo and Xoops this week.
  22. I tried Firebird out for the first time today and I have to say I was a little disappointed. One of my add-ons didn't work at all, and the themes I downloaded were a little buggy. It also kept opening up new browser windows, even though it is a tabbed browser. It looks like it could get a lot better, but right now I really question how reliable it is. Is the Mozilla browser any better than this? I am currently using Avant Browser, which I'm pretty happy with, but I'm always looking for something bigger and better. Sometimes you don't know what you're missing until you go out and try s
  23. Why do I like Xoops better than Mambo? Well first of all it was easier to install (for me). I had a problem getting Mambo to run initially and there was very little in the way of support on their web site. Xoops was much simpler and was more automated than Mambo. But the main thing for me was that Xoops seems to have better support. I found their web site much more helpful. They both produced nice looking pages, but my initial impressions were just much better with Xoops. I was kind of steering clear of PHP-Nuke and Postnuke because they look so generic and they seem like they may
