Guest Rayne Posted May 6, 2003 Posted May 6, 2003 Just wondering if cPanelGUI is supported? Not really a condition on my becoming a customer, but I was curious. Quote
TCH-Rick Posted May 7, 2003 Posted May 7, 2003 cPanel 6 is the GUI for controlling your web space with all accounts on TCH. Quote
Guest Rayne Posted May 19, 2003 Posted May 19, 2003 Yes, I understand, but was wondering about cPanelGUI...access from the desktop, not the browser. Quote
KevinW Posted May 20, 2003 Posted May 20, 2003 It appears that the company developing CPanelGui is still at work on a version that will interface with CPanel 6.0 - which is what TCH is running on its servers. So, the short answer is: no, CPanelGui will not currently work. But the longer answer is to the question: Is TCH considering supporting CPanelGUI? Seems to me that only the HeadGuru can answer that, since he would have to pay the $$$ to purchase it. By the way, to purchase CPanelGUI would cost $175 (1st server) plus $75 each add'l server - which looks like an investment of close to $2,000. On top of that the company developing CPanelGUI has a "no money back" policy --- Personally speaking - I wouldn't be holding my breath!!! -kw Quote
TCH-Sales Posted May 20, 2003 Posted May 20, 2003 Yeah, this would be a waste of money, no doubt. What's the advantage of working on CPanel from your desktop than a browser window? More or less, you'd be paying more for information and access you're already getting. I'm with KW on this one, wouldn't hold my breath on this one either. Quote
TCH-JimE Posted May 20, 2003 Posted May 20, 2003 Hi, Creating skins for Cpanel unfortuantley creates possible secruity breaches. The current one we have is fully patched, so why fix what is not broken? Jim Quote
