jeffgrahamnz Posted December 17, 2004 Posted December 17, 2004 Hi, I'm writing on behalf of my father, to whom I referred total choice hosting. He's had nothing but problems since we've started and now the Customer Support people will no longer return his emails! The situation is as follows, he paid $44 (order number 36888-R51805656) for 1 year of hosting. Apparantly his card has been billed. No information has been sent to him regarding login details and attempts to resolve the situation with the support people have been fruitless. This is why I am trying here, we have gone through the proper channels and I still have no clue why total choice have not resolved the issue. He has also paid for a domain to use with this hosting. Somewhere along the line a miscommunication has occured and I think the support staff thought he was asking for login details to change his domain account which they provided if I recall correctly, but we still lack the hosting welcome email. We still have no confirmation regarding the hosting, we just want our FTP / CPanel login details so we can start uploading files. Customer support wont reply to our emails. Have we not bought what we thought we were getting? If so why has he been billed $44? His customer number is 4268844 Whats going on guys? (Please email me) Quote
TCH-Andy Posted December 17, 2004 Posted December 17, 2004 Hi, The only way we can help individual cases is via the help desk. I can assure that all tickets to customer support are replied to - but sometimes peoples spam filters can prevent them recieving a response. When you submit a ticket though, you should get an automated reference number, and you can always login to check the status of a ticket. Alternatively you can use live chat, or IM's to chat to one of the staff. Quote
TCH-Thomas Posted December 17, 2004 Posted December 17, 2004 Hi, I am just a moderator so I can not tell what exactly happened in this case, but did your father use one of those free email services (hotmail, yahoo etc) when he ordered the domain and hosting? If so the welcome emails may have been sorted in to the junk/spam folder on that account. This is as far as I have seen the most common reason for non delivered welcome emails. As for contacting TCH... For the hosting problem, you can either call them (see more here) or submit a ticket (link on top of page). For the domainproblem, I assume you registered it through TCH, but it has its own support found here. Quote
TCH-Thomas Posted December 17, 2004 Posted December 17, 2004 Andy beat me to it, and also added a couple of more ways for contact. Thanks Andy. Quote
TCH-Rob Posted December 17, 2004 Posted December 17, 2004 Please be advised that the phone number is for billing purposes only. Quote
TCH-Dick Posted December 17, 2004 Posted December 17, 2004 (edited) When he opened the tickets to the Help Desk did he get an email back with a link to check on the ticket? Thes emails are sent automatically, so if he did not receive them I would check the spam or trash folders for his email account. Edited December 17, 2004 by TCH-Dick Quote
jeffgrahamnz Posted December 17, 2004 Author Posted December 17, 2004 For whatever its worth it was a gmail account and yes he had been corresponding via email with support for some time and the emails were always getting through. EDIT: The issue has been resolved. Thank you for your help. Quote
