Hi. My fifteenth birthday is coming up in a couple months, and as a present, I might recieve a domain. I do quite well using Geocities' File Manager and Angelfire's WebShell. I was just wondering how much I would need to learn going to TCH from Geocities and Angelfire. I don't know FTP, although I am in the process of learning.

Also, completely unrelated, I was wondering if TCH sends an actual bill to you if you pay month-by-month. The person who might be purchasing the domain for me is a bit leery of money automatically being deducted form her account.

Thank you for all your help.

Hello Katie,

Happy birthday for when it comes! I just had my birthday (ok so I am now 24 but still a kid at heart!)

If you can do geocities and anglefire, you will find learning things like FTP just as simple, if not easier then there system. (FTP is very easy to get to grips with)

Its true to say that TCH and other web hosters are more powerful but highly more customerisible then geocities and angelfire, and with the handy CPANEL you should not have any difficulties in getting to grips with it all, espically as geocites and angelfire are quite complicated!. You can always test the CPANEL out too.

Of course you can always post in these forums where many people from both TCH and the outside world will be able to help and offer suggestions.

Not being a member of TCH, i unable to help you with the billing side. Hopefully someone else can help there.

Good luck

Katie,

If you are still around, may I say that you are a quite articulate young lady. Brava! For 14, your grammar is immaculate.

Just had to say that. Hope to see you back here soon!

Thank you :)

I suppose I'm a bit of nerd, but it pays off in some cases. :(
