Virtual Imager Posted August 19, 2004 Posted August 19, 2004 I was trying to send a zip file and it was too big. Problem is, it got stuck in my outbox and OE kept trying to send it every time I logged on until I could get it deleted. Well, needless to say, the mailbox I was sending it to got royally PO'd.... now it blocked me, which is completely understandable. What I'm more concerned about is whether or not it would have reported me as a spammer and to whom. What should I do??? VI Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted August 19, 2004 Posted August 19, 2004 Send them an email from a different domain and apologize. Ask if they reported you. Only thing I can think of. Quote
Virtual Imager Posted August 19, 2004 Author Posted August 19, 2004 I tried that, but I think they blocked my IP, not just my email address. This is the bounce notice: <xxx@xxx.com>: ###.###.##.##74 does not like recipient. Remote host said: ### 5.2.1 <xxx@xxx.com>... Mailbox disabled for this recipient Giving up on ###.###.##.74. I'll call when they open for business (it's still early here in AZ). But I was sending to an employee of a large business and I doubt she would know how their email client would have responded to my inadvertent 'bombardment.' I guess my questions are: Would they have reported me to TCH? And if so, can I get my good name cleared? Who else would they have reported to? The Internet Police???? I don't want to be on any blacklists. I'm worried that I won't be able to send to ANYONE on cox.net or something huge like that. Quote
