I am no expert on SMF, but you should probably only need to 1) Backup the forum folder 2) Backup the database 3 Upload the content of the forum folder to where you want it 4) Have the helpdesk restore the database 5) Make the needed changes (db paths etc) in settings and reupload it 6) Or you could ask the helpdesk to simply move it (I think)

VBulletin have announced that some users may experience a lag after loading pages after the latest upgrade and have released a solution for it. Read more about it in post 7 in the announcement I linked to in my first post in this thread.

Bumping for us is when someone posts repeatedly to get peoples attention for unanswered questions. Adding other but related questions to a thread you started is not seen as bumping. We read all posts and tries to respond to every single one but we can not know the answers to all of them. However this is a user to user forum which means that anyone who happens to know the answer to a question may answer. If a question gets unanswered, it simply means that no one knows the answer to that specific question.

Everything to step 7 looks fine. 8. clicked on the install.php URL. Instead for this, try going to http://yoursite.ext/wordpressfolder/wp-admin/install.php and following the instructions on the screen and see what happens. Also, do not forget to create a database and add the user to the database. Ue the same info as you entered in the config.php

Fantastico installs wordpress automatically, so no need to do anything but answering a few questions it asks in the wizard. I would personally remove it all and reinstall.

Have you added the user to the database as the movie tutorial above describes?
